Hi all,

I have been using a cig-sized ecig for over a year, but was using it mostly for steath vaping at work when I didn't have time to actually go outside and smoke. 3 weeks ago, I got an eGo twist with a clearomizer on recommendation from a co-worker and have actually been able to put the analogs down completely!!

During the first few months, I got sick of buying pre-filled cartomizers and throwing them away. I learned to refill those with pre-made mixes. With experimentation, I came up with a mix I really like for daily vaping. I'd like suggestions on a recipe to make this mixture myself from scratch.

The calculator I have seen wants to know what strength of nicotine I want, and what percentage of flavor I want... umm, I have no clue. I just know that I dumped my spearmint into my husband's RY4 (when he went back to analogs), thought some apple might be nice, thought it needed more mint, and really enjoy the results. So, can anyone tell me what I have been vaping for the past year or so? And better yet, how to recreate the results starting with unflavored nic liquid, PG, VG, RY4, spearmint, and apple flavorings?

This is what I have been putting together:
30 ml RY4 18mg 70 PG/30 VG
50 ml spearmint 36mg 70 PG/30 VG
1 dram Lorann Oils Apple Flavor
2 ml Lorann Oils Spearmint

I appreciate any help.

The reason I want to know is that this was a pretty big batch and it's almost gone now. I don't really want to lose it.

That is pretty straight forward - you can buy ry4 flavoring (I use the flavor apprentice brand from RTS Vapes - you can get your unflavored nic from them also - PG and VG from amazon (1 quart size is best deal)

Make sure you read all the stickies in the diy subforum

this is my favorite calculator to use (excel based)

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...e-calculator-added-quantity-calculations.html

don't use droppers for measuring - pipettes are a waste of time - use syringes with blunt needles for accuracy (get a large catheter style syringe for the VG as it will barely go through a 14 ga needle

BE SAFE, BE CLEAN, BE CAREFUL and BE SAFE

everywhere
Since part of it was premixed the only way i can think to do it from scratch is divide each of the 3 flavors evenly( preferably all from the same vendor till you learn to translate how much of one brand equals the same of another). When you taste your test batches you should be able to determine if any need to be changed and how.

Example
1 part ry4 concentrate
1 part spearmint
1 part apple
Mix at 10% of total mix or 3.3% each flavor( % of total will depend on the vendor)

Now lets say you decide the apple is too strong. So bring apple down to 2.5 % and maybe the others up to 3.75% each.

It will take time and you may never get an exact match but you should be able to get close. I hope I didn't confuse you too much but this is similar to the process i use to recreate a mix i get from a vendor.
