I've been using InstaMorph to make and repair things for about a year now, so I decided to make a mod stand. It's not perfect, but that's because I had to improvise when it came to finding the right tools. I used a drinking glass to cut out the base after I flattened a piece of the material, and I used a mod to create the tube itself by wrapping the material around it and stretching it a bit to allow for more room. The nice thing about InstaMorph is that, when you get tired of something you've made, you can drop it in hot water and mold it into something else.

Great job! I looked at the web site and it says the plastic becomes moldable at 140F. I wonder if the mod ever gets that warm and makes the stand too soft?

The button on my Cartel gets a little warm to the touch, but I don't think it hits 140-degrees. If it does, it cools off pretty quickly and shouldn't be very hot by the time it's placed in the stand. I also have a Nemesis, and it never gets warm. I've never had any issues with the stand becoming soft, though. Also, the stand is thick enough that it would actually take a few minutes to become soft enough to change shape even if you dropped it in boiling water. I usually boil water, turn off the heat, and then drop in larger pieces of previously molded InstaMorph, because 140-degrees takes too long to soften the larger pieces. Hot water from the tap is fine for making InstaMorph moldable when you are using it fresh from the container, because it comes to you as tiny pieces of plastic, but larger pieces take longer to soften up, and the water cools off too quickly, so boiled water is best for the larger pieces.
