Tutorials for making a wooden mod stand

Are there any tutorials out there for making a custom wooden mod stand? I want to try making my own but not too sure on the tools and materials I need.

no tutorials that I know of.
you will need:
1) A block of wood or piece of drift wood
2) hand drill
3) drill bits that will create holes for what you want to put in the stand.
4) sand paper to smooth edges
5) stain and or varnish to finish off the look
6) imagination.

Yeah, what Kena said. I bought a couple 'fancy' wood forms from Michaels, glued them together, and had hubby drill holes. Since he drilled all the way through I also glued a piece of cardboard to the bottom so stuff wouldn't fall through. It's not pretty, but it works.

I do…

But the Filed an Intellectual Property Patented on Drilling a Hole in a Piece of Wood. So it would kinda Defeat the Point if I told you the Best way to do it.
