DIY my own liquid

I am new to vapor....I have been using a local shop with a nice mix they make for me called Cowboy UP...its a 50/50 PG/VG with 30mg Nic in it.

I want to make my own 30ml of 50/50 base with 24mg Nic in it....by using the Cal it says to put in 19.8ml of PG/VG into the bottle, now my question is if I want a 50/50 base do I put in 9.4 ml of PG then 9.4 of VG to get a 50/50 base?

I am trying to save money as I live on a disability Military pension and to get to the shop I have to take a bus ..so I figured it would be cheaper and easier for me to make my own once I get the DIY supplies to do the mixing.

There's more to it then that. To get a 50/50 you need to figure in your flavoring carrier and nic carrier. If all are pg and you started with a 50/50 base your finished product will be heavy on pg, like a 60/40. You will actually have to go heavier vg to compensate for the carriers.

If you are purely looking to make a base liquid, unflavored, 50/50 and 24mg/mL nic then you could add 9.4mL of PG and 9.4mL of VG but you would need 10.2mL of 70.6mg/mL 50/50 nic base to do it.

Are you planning on using the Cowboy UP? Or do you have you're own nic base? A little more information would be helpful.

Most flavors are PG based. If you put 10% flavor in it, you are at 10% PG. In a 30 mL batch, that's 3 ml flavoring. Your nicotine liquid is either 50/50, or 100% PG or VG. In a 30 ml bottle, you need about 7 or 8 mL of 100mg/ml nic to get a 24... I think. (No calculator, just head math and I'm not awake yet. Lol!) If it's 8 mL of 50/50 nic, then you have another 4 mL of PG and a total of 7 mL. Plus 4 mL of VG. Then you need to add 8 mL of PG and 11 mL of VG. That will get you a 30mL bottle, 10 % flavor, 50/50 PG/VG and a nic strength of like... 26 2/3? ... Yeah that sounds right.
