diy newbie

have been vaping almost 6mths and though about trying diy. just wanted some info. i vape 12mg, so if im correct i would mix 1/2 24mg base with 1/2 pg/vg then add some flavor right? i like strong flavoring, so how much flavor should i add? what brand is the best flavor?

If you start with 24 and want to vape 12, just make sure your flavorings are including in the 1/2 pg/vg. Capellas flavor drops are usually suggested to new DIY'ers but the new super concentrated flavors from VapingZone & ecigexpress are even easier.

Yes, if you add flavoring after diluting your base to 12mg it will dilute it further. Some flavorings are used at 20% or more and your 12mg would drop accordingly. For example 12 x .8 = 9.6mg

I've not yet started diy so apologize if his is a stupid question but, what makes one brand easier to work with than another?

Capellas has verry forgiving flavors. If you are off abit they will still be pretty tasty. They are a great company for using single flavors. The vanilla custard is fantastic as a stand alone flavor. But the more flavor you add as Azplumber said will change the math to do your nic. The concentrated flavors throw your math off so little, because they are so concentrated that you add verry little extra liquid. The more liquid you add the more the nic % will be altered.

50% would be your 24 mg nic base (so if your making 10ml, use 5ml of base)
approx 30% would be your pg or vg or mix (so again in 10ml bottle, use 3ml of this)
approx 20% flavoring (so in 10 ml bottle, use a grand total of no more than 2ml of flavoring).

Shake all really well. Hope this helps some!
