Ha ha I hear that! I have a juice titled Vanilla Custard Mark 6248... Really though, it has to be the, at least, 100th iteration of a DIY Vanilla Custard I've tried. It's the only juice I can't perfect to my own liking. Vanilla Custards are some of the hardest and I don't understand what companies like NT and CJMR are doing that I'm not.
I guess my adv must be a vanilla custard type it is called vader puddin by maple leaf vapes (a Canadian company juice sold by a local shop here in NS)

perhaps I will try making 5 ml testers I usually do 10 Mls

Yeah I have way too many total fails to make 10ml 1st-try bottles. :D I just make sure I always have plenty of 1ml syringes; with such a small quantity, you have to try to be as exact as you can, because any mistake is a big one! I get my 1ml syringes at wizlabs, they seem to be pretty good quality; I always put tape over the graduations, so they don't wear off with constant use and rinsing, and they each last at least a few weeks (or more) before they get to the point that you can't easily push or pull the syringe.

Once I've tested a recipe once or twice at 5ml, and have a pretty good handle on it, then I'll make 10 or 15 ml, and see if I keep liking it. If I do, and probably with some final little bitty tweaks, I'll make a 30ml. The only one I like well enough to make 60ml (or more) of, is my strawberry & cream; I can vape 60ml of that inside 2 wks.. maybe 10 days. :D

I know what you Mean.

I could give someone the List of Ingredients for my TastyFinger Clone (which I Won't!) and they Still Couldn't make it without Dozens Trials and the same amount of Errors.

It the Proportions many times that are Illusive.

I know the Owner of a B&M. And I attempted to Clone one of his Mixes. Because he (just like me) wouldn't give me his Recipe. I got it 93% there, and gave him a Bottle to Taste.

He told me it was Damn Close. But it was Missing the "Special Ingredient" that is in All his e-Liquids. I asked him What the ____ was the this Special Ingredient that was in All of his e-Liquids?

He Smiled and said it was BPA that comes from the Cheap Plastic Bottles he gets off e-Bay.

LOL
so perhaps I simply have to play and keep playing with the proportions of the one I so like until I get it right for me?

I make all my own juice :) I started to DIY all most immediately cause we had no B&M's and I had to order everything off the net
I only tried a few store bought juices MBV, Virgin Vapers, and a few from here in Canada, mine are way better. I wanted to try Grand Master Castle Long and Gambit from 5 Pawns but up here in Canada it's like 30.00 for 30 mils, Ridiculous! I make clone recipes of the 3 5pawn recipes and am will to bet the originals aren't worth 10 times the price it cost me to make them :)

I make all my own other than 2 30ml bottles I purchased in the last 3 months. The only reason I got those was because my taste buds seemed to have taken a vacation from my mouth and I wanted to make sure it wasn't my mixing skills. So if anybody finds my taste buds lounging on the beach tell them it's time to come home.

I hear you it is more expensive here in Canada. We didn't have any stores in Nova Scotia but now they are literally all over the place. I would support local if I could but none sell DIY at least not yet and of course if they did the price for nic would be three times as much I am not sure if there are local NS juice makers I think so but the cost is still 25.00 to 30 and with the new rules in Nova Scotia no vaping even in the shop it would be hard to tell what the juice tasted like - sometimes living in the great white north is a handicap

I didn't find them but I will be sure to send them home if I do. I am amazed at your cig savings I would have spent $1872.00 had I been you;)

I envy your ability to purchase DIY flavours locally -cannot do that here in NS or if you can I can't find it

I have USA relatives and order from the USA ... they then drive the nicotine into Canada ... the flavours I just order online and ship to Canada.

I was a RYO person for the last 8+ years when I stopped I was making Cartons for around $11 Heck I still have 1/3lb of tobacco and tubes sitting around. Guess it's about time to get rid of those.

About half what I vape is store-bought (although a lot right now - about 300ml - was won at vape shops openings or anniversaries). I mix the other half of my daily cycle. It does save quite a bit.

And I am interested in Andria's recipe for the strawberry cream, if she'll part with it :)

Absolutely. :D

Inawera Shisha Strawberry 16%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream 6% (diketone-free)
TFA Vanilla Swirl 4.5% (diketone-free)
CAP Sweet Cream 2% (diketone-free)
TFA Sweetener 2%

It's pretty sweet; you might want to try it first without sweetener, or at 1%. When I mix 60ml or more, I make it at 1%, because it gets sweeter and stronger, the longer it sits. It doesn't need steeping though; after I mix the 60ml, I pour 15ml into a dropper bottle with a little more sweetener, for immediate use. Sometimes I add .3%-.5% TFA Sour; it doesn't really alter the flavor much, such a small amount, just gives it a little more *bite*.

The last bottle I bought was about 3 months ago. Sometimes it is nice to buy something a little different that is already made up. It just pains me to spend 20-22 bucks for 30 mils that will only last me 2-3 days of vaping. I probably will place an order with Nicoticket soon though.

There is a ton of recipes for clones and non clones. I just go through them and pick out ones I would like to try and make up 3-5 different ones. Stay with those for about a month and then do another 3-5

I have never found an ADV in stores or in DIY I like to be able to switch up flavors as much as I want to. Oddly enough, the flavor I have vaped the most of is Capellas Vanilla Custard which is the simplist juice I have ever made.

I recommend bullcityvapor.com for any Inawera flavors (unless you get so *into* any of them that you buy it direct from Poland!), because they don't re-bottle them; all Inawera flavors from BCV come in the original Inawera bottles. They're a bit more expensive on them than ecigexpress, but ECX rebottles them, and so does VapersTek (whose INW flavors cost even more than BCV's).

That's why I stick with CAP Sweet Cream -- it doesn't have diketones, but it DOES taste just like real cream... add a drop or two to 2% milk, and it tastes just like whole milk. Put a drop or two into black coffee, and it tastes like you just poured an ounce of cream into it! Amazing stuff; I'd have to say it's Capella's best, just because it can be added to so many different things, with excellent results. I just got a 30ml of it from wizlabs, the biggest I can get of CAP flavors at BCV is 13ml.
