Now that i have educated myself via the stickies on the top, i know that DIY is something i really want to try. I want a nicotine base with 24-36mg/ml and 50/50 blend. A bottle of VG and one of PG. As for flavors im unsure of what to start with because i havent found a premade tobacco that i really like so maybe i'd refer to a well recieved recipe here or something. I know i need pipettes and bottles 3,10,15. I dont imagine ill be making 30ml batches when i first start. Gloves are easy to get at a wal-mart or something too. I really would like to get a starter kit if these are all included at a decent, not inflated price. If its more cost effective i can make my own but i'd prefer a good starter kit (if any exist) Is there anything im missing that is a necessity or just really nice to have starting off DIY? Any suggestions on starter flavors? I like coffees, tobaccos(if i can find a good one), and menthol. I am open to new flavors as well but i'd like to find a solid flavor or mix of flavors for each of those first.

You will save money buying from different places even with the shipping . Also you can only get certain things some places . You can buy your nic and pg from one place like rts . Buy tpa flavorings straight from tpa . Ecigexpress has lots of different brand flavoring and some diy supplies . syringes from drfosters online for super cheap . bottles on ebay or tpa . Capellas flavors are great to start off with as most are good and easy to use .

Good Prophets is a pretty decent source for some DIY gear. They've had a really nice sale on their 36mg/ml nic ($5 for 120ml), easily cheap enough to just buy some in each of PG and VG and combine them if you want 50/50. Their price on 30ml of TPA flavorings is also solid right now. They have pipettes, graduated beakers (I believe), other DIY items, and their S&H is reasonable.

For a plain tobacco, my personal preference is Seedman Commercial concentrate at 15%, with a few drops of tobacco absolute diluted per 10 ml and, possibly, 3% hazelnut (others like caramel, I prefer haz). Seedman is available at their site (make sure you buy the concentrate, not the pre-diluted version), or from BlueMist vaping. For the hazelnut I use Natures Flavors (I use a bunch of their Coffe flavorings from their organic section), but TPA and capellas also have some decent things.

TA diluted is available from TPA or BlueMist -- I haven't tried the BlueMist, but that's because I stocked up at TPA originally and that stuff lasts a long time.

I stocked up just after thanksgiving, bought another bottle last week when I ordered some of their TPA tobacco blend. Nothing wrong with their nic base that I know of, other than that I generally go for 60 mg/ml (but at GP's price, I'll use 36 :) ). I tested the first bottle, measured it at right about the 36mg/ml claimed.

My normal go-to for nic is VoidMist, but GP's price point is just plain good right now.

I've heard that highdesert resells RTS nic, at better than RTS pricing (they must buy large volume, and or a big bottle and split it up).

For VG, just buy Glycerin USP skin protectant at a Rite Aid or CVS. It's a squat 6 ounce bottle, $4 - $6 for 6 ounces. The ingredients will only say Glycerin 99.5%, possibly followed by the word "(anhydrous)". It's a clear, thick, liquid.

For PG, either pick some up from Good Prophets, RTS, whoever, else they sell PG USP in many Tractor Supply Stores. It should state PG USP, no other ingredients. I bought a gallon a couple weeks back, $22. (It's used to treat a cattle skin condition).

I got most of my DIY supplies from US Plastics. Very good prices. I use the boston rounds for daily use.

I just ordered a lot of unflavored nic, so I also grabbed two 16oz amber glass bottles for storage from Specialty Bottle. The euro dropper cap bottles are better for daily use or smaller storage needs though.

You're forgetting graduated cylinders. They are a must have if you want to get precise mixes. I'd suggest a 10ml and maybe a 25ml if you plan to mix larger batches. US Plastics has them pretty cheap. If you order them in conjunction with bottles, the shipping amortizes much better.

I bought pipettes from eBay for a few dollars, but I prefer syringes. Pipettes are hard to clean, and I prefer to avoid single use items for planet Earth's sake.

Very cool, the USP cylinders. When I started DIY I hadn't noticed them, bought a 100 pack of the 15ml graduated beakers. Since I bulk mix most things they've worked fine, between them and syringes/pipettes.

With USP I believe the trick is to keep total order value under $25, which keeps you at $4.99 shipping. Note that they occaisionally have a glitch, check to make sure that your final shipping billing really is just the $4.99. (I had an error last week, which they fixed as soon as I called.)

If you can find them at a hobby store, super. USP pricing is good on 15, 10, 6, 3ml boston round dropper bottles, and they do have the cylinders. I also use them for their 2 and 4 ounce blue PET bottles (just make sure to pick up the caps, too), for things like my all-day vape, where I make 60 ml at a time.

Funnels! I totally forgot about funnels. They help immensely to keep the mess down when pouring from a cylinder into a bottle. It's kind of hard to find funnels small enough to fit into smaller bottles, but with an ID large enough to let VG heavy juices through. I think I picked up my funnels on eBay from a someone who sells perfuming supplies.
