I am trying to get to set up with everything I need to make my own juice. I realize I need my nicotine base and PG and VG. I am starting with 100mg PG nicotine base and ordering PG and VG to mix.

What are the other things I need?

Ethyl Maltol? What does it do and what percent should I get?
Malic Acid? What does it do and what percent should I get?
Bromothymol Blue? What does it do?
Citric Acid Solutions? What does it do and what percent should I get?
Sucralose Solutions? What does it do and what percent should I get?
Tartaric Acid? What does it do and what percent should I get?
Sweeteners?

As far as other things what do I need?

Transfer Pipettes
Sterile Syringes
Nicotine Test Kit
14gXL 1.5' Blunt Tip Needles
BD 18g 1.5' Blunt Tip Needles
10mL Syringes

I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff that I don't need. Can someone help me with what I should get?

Thanks so much for the help!

Be aware that almost all sweeteners and flavor enhancers can do the opposite. Do some massive A/B testing to see. For me, if I add EM or Reb-A to my own DIY, it tastes great for a few days. Then after natural steeping, the flavor can diminish massively.

I add malic acid to VG base and then use only a drop or two in my DIY mixes. Especially fruits. But even that can diminish flavor, as well.

I dissolve 1 gram of malic acid to 10mL of VG base and use that in my mixes (just a drop or two is usually enough!)

Hello Evajo, and welcome to ECF! I recommend checking out the DIY sub-forum on this site to source out the answers you're seeking. There's a wealth of information there, and all of the folks I've encountered are quite helpful. Here's a link directly to it.

As for advice I can give, I've been doing DIY for a couple months and am still learning, but the one thing I've learned is that it's a good idea to make small amounts of whatever I'm testing in case it doesn't suit my fancy.

The biggest thing I'd recommend is in regards to safety while working with the nicotine, especially considering you got 100MG. I use that myself, and it's pretty potent stuff. I recommend getting disposable gloves while working with it, and I recommend wearing long sleeves and use some eye protection as well. I recommend reading all the stickies at the top of the forum, and I also recommend reading the blogs from dannyv45. He's been doing this a long time and has some great advice on how to work with everything.

As for your supply list, once you read a bit more in the DIY forum, I'm confident you'll have a good idea on what you'll need to get started. I use 1ml, 3ml, and 10ml syringes, I use the blunt tipped needles, and I use a 50ml graduated cylinder pretty regularly. I also got some larger bottles for larger batches, along with a bunch of 15 and 30ml ones.

Lastly, I'd recommend you make single flavoring batches of all of your new flavors so you get a good idea on what they're like on their own, before you start making more complex recipes. Everyone's palate is different, so just try stuff out, take notes, and have some fun with it! I'm so happy I started with DIY, and I've found I'm happier with juices I make than most of the premade stuff out there.

In a nutshell, just be safe and take baby steps, and you'll be fine.

Once again, welcome to the ECF family!

Everyone is so helpful here....even when you get ahead of yourself and ask questions that can be found on the forum. I will be checking out the blog on the person you mentioned.
