I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

Do any DIYers pick up their supplies at a local store? Particularly I'm looking for graduated blunt syringes, 3-5-10-30ml bottles, pipettes that kind of stuff.

I know there are quite a few sites that sell them (I ordered a few from HV) but I'm feeling creative this weekend and I've been bitten by the DIY bug.

I've tried SDM, browsed through Walmart, but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!

I got some free syringes from Wal-mart, you just have to ask at the pharmacy (and be prepared to lie!). You can't get the needles without a prescription but you should be able to find something in the department that would sell supplies for filling up printer ink cartridges. I also recall seeing a pic of a bottle with a pointy tip for glue or something like that sold in the art department at Michaels.

Farm supply stores and veterinarians offices often carry syringes, blunt tip needles, dripper bottles (my friend got some neat little 15 and 30mL ones) and even PG. I also heard once that campus stores often sell science stuff like pipettes, otherwise try a hobby store/science store as some of the kids chemistry sets contain high quality items. I would hit the yellow pages and call around a bit first, save yourself some driving!

Farm supply store I feel is the best, one stop shopping.

They sell syringes from 1ml to 60ml. I doubt you can even get a 60ml syringes at shoppers.

Also at the farm supply store they sell large gauge needles that are larger in diameter than you would use on a person. This allows syringes to suck up something a thick as cold VG. Using smaller human needles may be the reason DIYers shy away from syringes for everything.

Droppers are great, but they never fully empty. Same with graduated cylinders. A syringe will push everything out making it extremely accurate.

I've also never had a problem buying syringes at any Ontario pharmacy without a prescription. The problem is, many pharmacies only stock & carry the Ultra-Fine double O's that diabetics and illicit drug users need/want. They can special order others gauges for you if your willing to buy a box of them. And they usually come in the next day or two :)

Be open and talk to your pharmacist! Most are really cool knowledgeable people! The only time they should refuse is if they think your a youngin about to shoot up illicit drugs for the first time.

i did some comparison shopping.

looked at a bunch of sites tho still inconclusive
i made my order on madvapes.com

30 - 3ml bottles
14 - 10ml bottles.

rounded up* : $24 + 5 shipping

once it put it to 15, shipping went up $1+change

iunno, i always play with the numbers to get the max amount of weight or whatever, and keep it cheap to ship.

the search continues..
