I've ordered VG, PG and some flavor concentrates to start DIY.
I need some bottles and pipettes (I've got a digital scale). Where can I get some at a decent price and shipping charges?
I've read that I need sweetener and that new mixers should NOT get it. Which is it?
Is there anything else I need to make juice? If there is, where should I get it?

Oh, also, how do you label your bottles?

It might help in the "what else you might need" department...if you let us know what flavorings you ordered (brand and name), and how you ordered them. By how...I mean did you find recipes first, and then order flavorings to make them? Or did you just pick and choose flavorings that sounded good to you? Reason I ask is, lots of newbies buy them the second way, and they end up not having any blenders or secondary flavorings, accents, etc. that many recipes need. We might be able to suggest some of those for you to order, too.

Also, what kind of bottles do you want for your eliquids? Do you want plastic ones with dropper tips and caps, or do you want glass ones with the black squeeze bulb and dropper, which is usually glass, too?

If I were you, I'd get some sweetener to have on hand. Some common ones used by many who DIY are TFA Sweetener or Capella Super Sweet.

You need nicotine base, if you didn't order any of it. Of course, that's only needed if you want nic in your eliquids. Some of the places people on here get theirs from are: Nude Nicotine, Wizard Labs, Heartland Vapes, Nicotine Giant, Nicotine River, Ecig Express, My Freedom Smokes, Liquid Nicotine Wholesalers, etc. All have a variety of strengths, various size bottles of it, different VG/PG ratios, etc. Some have regular, premium, specialty nic base, etc., too.

As far as labeling your eliquid bottles - Some use a label maker and print them off. Some just use a piece of blue painter's tape and write on it, then stick it around the bottle. Some, like me, buy inexpensive labels with designs on them, or in different colors, from Dollar Tree...write the eliquid name on them with a Sharpie and stick it to the bottle.

Might try Ebay on these.

Could read:

Is there anything else I need to make juice? If there is, where should I get it?
Could read:

I label my bottles in two places on approx. a .09" X .125" self stick tag located on the top of the bottle (drip) cap and bottom or bottle. All my recipes are numbered like 233 or 55 etc.... When I'm finished with a 5 ml. bottle, just put my fingernail under the label, lift off and throw both away. Bottle is ready for wash and reuse.

Sweetener I recommend TFA Sweetener-TFA but honestly those one shots don't need it. You only need sweetener if you make your ejuice from recipes.

As for bottles, eightvape has a sale going on chubby gorilla unicorn bottles..

Chubby Gorilla Unicorn Bottle White 60ml

.50 cents each ^^^^

Chubby Gorilla Unicorn Bottle Black 60ml

.50 cents each ^^^^

You can also get the glass dropper bottles off eBay.

Amber Glass Bottle 4oz with Dropper(12 pack) | eBay

It's not bad for 12 with free shipping, although you might find a better price if you look around - just make sure your getting the dropper tops..

I use CS6 to create my labels, but you can likely just use office or excel.. you just need to be able to type and print a label.. you can use clear packing tape to affix it to the bottles if you don't buy the glue backed label paper.

I use www.bullcityflavors.com for most DIY stuff - I like their selection really..

Oh.. and don't forget your mini funnels! 10pcs New Small Plastic For Perfume Diffuser Bottle Mini Liquid Oil Funnels Lab 696544224790 | eBay (they can come in handy and are cheap if you buy from China)

If you have Prime Amazon is a good place to get glass bottles with the free shipping. Otherwise shipping glass is a killer.
I'd recommend some 1/2oz/15ml for early mixes and rarely used recipes, a dozen would work. 1oz/30ml, at least a dozen maybe 2 but if you have prime you could put the 2nd dozen off. 2oz/60ml a dozen or 2 if you'd rather make larger bottles.
4oz/120ml bottles for stock piling nicotine, maybe 250ml or 500ml depending on how much you plan on stocking.

You do not need sweetener. I used to use it, stopped. I don't miss it. There is some question on the safety of vaping the fake sugars (I think tied to the same questions about using them).

@HipGnosis - I do apologize for this late change, but those 30ml bottles that are on sale from eight vape I posted are the stiffer plastic which is not as pleasant to use, I ordered some and I wasn't expecting that.

The 60ml are the perfect, slightly softer, better to squeeze, type of bottle so those are worth the .50 cents each most definitely but I am disappointed in the stiffer 30ml, although they will work.

I've already ordered, but no problem. I'll find a use for them.

Also; A.S.&S. has all kinds of glass bottles, including amber - but not many have caps

Glass Bottle Outlet has super prices on most glass bottles, and they offer a variety of different caps and/or droppers for them, too. That's where many of us got our Amber Glass Boston Round bottles and polycone caps for breaking down & storing our liters of nic base in our freezers.

ETA: I've ordered stuff many times from American Science & Surplus though, including glass containers. Bought 168mL Amber Glass bottles with caps (in lots of 8 for less than $5) 2 different times from them, when I first started buying nic base. They don't have them any more though unfortunately. I also bought their lot of 144 Amber Glass Vials with screw-on lids for flavorings, nic base samples, etc. to give to friends starting DIY.

American Science and Surplus has 25 3.5ml pipettes for $3.25.
But they're not 'sterile'. Do I need sterile pipettes??

consider using syringes instead of pipettes. They are more accurate, reusable and sterilized with alcohol. Coat your measurement marking with clear nail polish and will last a long time.

For larger amber bottles I've always gotten them from Bull City Vapor with cone cap. Dropper bottles all mine are recycled store bought ejuice bottles. Start small you will figure out what you need or don't need to suit your style.

I prefer syringes to pipettes too. I don't know if it's store wide thing but I get mine free (with needle or without) from Walmart's pharmacy. I don't know what they are thinking when they hand them over, but they do, in various sizes, upon my request. So trying one (may) be easy and even free. I prefer them for precision and also because my nic is all VG (pg sensitive) and a needle is more effective at accurate measurement (I have to use a fairly wide bore needle). I'd imagine places like tractor supply or medical device places may have them too.

Best of luck,

Anna

Yep, Tractor Supply definitely does, and they're dirt cheap, IMO. My 2 local ones don't have 1mL syringes, but they've got a huge variety of sizes 3mL and up. They don't carry blunt needle tips though at all. FastTech is about the cheapest place for them in 14ga. and others. Sellers on eBay and Amazon also carry them, but I've found the Amazon ones to be more expensive.

No need to sterilize. I'm sure that's not good on the plunger if you're going for longevity. I only rinse my 3ml flavor syringes. The 6ml and 20ml syringes for nicotine and VG just get blown out.

Easier and cheaper than fingernail polish, invisible tape.

I know Walmart will also hand over small pill planners for free. I can't believe they hand out syringes and needles. So many people are convinced they're illegal (and in some states they may be). I get most of mine from TSC, the farm store that ran them out of town says they want a note from your vet, like my vet would agree to me giving my dogs their shots, she wants that $35 vs the $5 for the shots.
I decided to order a box of 100 3ml from Amazon since flavors kill those so often.

I think the biggest needle they have is 16ga. I ordered my 14ga from a DIY supply.

I just saw/grind/sand the points off. I also use luer lock needles for one of my torches. TSC has been my supplier for a long time.
