Just received some ingredients from my freedom smoke for the first time. PG, vg and nic in vg with some TFA flavors. I mixed some menthol and menthol mint and vanilla cheesecake and a vanilla mocha and they all taste really dry. No burnt taste or anything. Just tastes tastes dry and a little harsh. I used between 7% and 10% for my flavoring. This is my second batch of DIY. I used lorannes the first time and didn't seem this dry on that run of juices.

Any suggestions would be great and thank you!

A few things to try. EM as mentioned above, TPA Sweetener or TPA Marshmellow. If you are mixing a fruit flavor a little sweetener and loranns tart & sour might help. All of these at very low %'s will help.

I just received the TPA sweetener. Is 1-2% about right for that when mixing fruit flavors?

Thanks.

I don't think I would judge anyone's flavor line based on the tastes of just a few flavors. There are flavors in all of these brands that are really good and some that are not so good. Keep in mind that some will need to steep a day or two maybe even a week or two before the true flavor can be judged. You will also find flavors in every line that need sweetener, some need EM maybe even a little of both. You will also find that using too much flavoring will give you an off taste and can also lead to little or no flavor detected. TPA flavors typically have a narrow margin where the flavor is just right but once it's found can lead to a very rewarding vape. Lorann's also has some great flavors but they have a few duds as well. Best advice is get some sweetener and EM solution (TPA cotton candy) and add them if needed.

Az I was just talking about the grape one, as you can notice in my mix I use a lot of diff company, you're absolutely right, each manu have their best and duds! was just trying to be funny a little!

icebob (dog) I missed your LA grape comment and sorry I did, it was a good one. My post was directed at the op's latest reply that tfa was dry. Just trying get the op to understand that the opinion of a few flavors shouldn't label any line of flavors.

Thanks AZ and everyone else. Yea I just need a little more experience. I would have to say if anything I just put too much in. All of them sat for over a week while I used up some of my first batch so they were well steeped. Just have to keep making as many mistakes as I can so I can keep learning. I thank you all big big for your help :):):):):)

I know some will call me a fanboy, but capellas are really forgiving when you start DIY.... real easy to work with....

I almost suggested Capellas as they are easier for a noob to mix with but the op already bought a few TPA/LA flavors and could get more LA locally, if done right good juice could be made with what is at hand.
