I'll add my thumbs up on the Holy Vanilla. It's the most realistic vanilla I've found and believe me, I have a shelf full of them. I've never mixed it alone, just added it to other blends but it is a very "true" vanilla taste. Dawn is a sweetheart of a vendor too.

I steeped TPA French Vanilla @ 10% with RY4 Double for a couple days and it toned it down a little. I couldn't do it all day, but the vanilla is vapable now. Looking forward to the Holy, thanks!

I have some real vanilla from mexico. It has such a complex and almost spicy flavor - I am in love with it like no other flavor ever. I might try this in some pg/vg to see how it turns out. vaping real orchid vanilla...omg.....

zuzette I'd be interested in the result if you decide to try that down the road. Does anyone have any experience vaping extracts? besides the negative effect it might have on hardware..

OK, what would be a safe starting % for the DIYFS Holy Vanilla? 5%? Or 10%?

I have some lovely 32 fold Bourbon Vanilla that I got years ago and use sparingly in my baking. It has no added sugars and most of the alcohol that was used in the extraction was evaporated out. It is really thick, almost like a concrete rather than an absolute. It has to be warmed up to be measured and I usually dilute and infuse it in a bit of premium rum for use in baking.

I warmed it up and then mixed 1/10ml of the vanilla in 15ml of PG and set the whole thing in some hot water and gave it a good shake. I now have some lovely whole Vanilla to use in my recipes. It is still very strong and I only use 1 drop in 10 ml's. It adds a warm and almost creamy back note to the flavors I have used it in. It is especially good in coffee and chocolate flavors.

12% is mentioned, but I think I'll start at 10 - mix it tonite, steep it while I sleep and have at it tomorrow AM. Will report back after I've settled a bit with it. That thread makes me want to drink the stuff..

I'm not sure about others or what the "norm" really is (everyone's different) ... but I like my juice strong.
Most of my mixes are in the 20-25% range.

But here's a nice one you might like:

12% Holy Vanilla
8% Bavarian Cream
2% Sugar Cream

and a little sweetener or EM (if you feel you need it - after you try it).

The Vanilla I have was part of a special production run that I was able to get through a natural products co-op. It cost me over $100 for a ounce of it 5 years ago. Would hate to know what it would go for today.

1/32 oz. is less than 1 ml.

Good Vanillia usually is very expensive. You can mix that 1/32 in 15 ml's of PG or VG and only have to use 1 drop in 10 to 15 ml's of mix for it to have an effect.
