hello fellow vapers!! I have a lavabox dna 200(loving it for most part) box mod and have been worrying a bit about the lipo inside. I have done some testing on it and from experience i can say that i would prefer 18650's any day. Once the battery reaches 30%, it cannot even put out 40 watts. Also, i have never been able to get the damn mod to a true 200 watts, no matter the build. I was wondering if there is an upgrade out there yet for the lipo's, Because so far i am not impressed, and about to just make my own box mod and use the lavabox for parts.

There are multiple reasons why this might be, you could have a bad battery config loaded in the mod (more than likely) especially since your mod can't output more than 40w at 30%. That right there tells me you didn't properly load the lipo's values in escribe and upload them to the device.

Tutorial here:
Code:
Ignore this see tutorial below...

That tutorial as written by me for another user with a different battery, I need to know which lipo you have to further assist you on this.

The only other reason it might do this is if you have a bad lipo, quite honestly I'm 99% sure you didn't properly setup the battery in escribe or the mod came with outdated settings or default settings which are completely wrong for your battery type. The battery meter being completely wrong is a sure bet of that.

As far as the maximum amp capability of LiPo vs what we use in 18650, the LiPo wins hands down. And at 200 watts you only need around 25A from each cell even when the cell voltage is down to 3V.

IMO JMarca nailed it and you'll get much better performance once you follow his tutorial. Or there is something wrong with the board in the Lavabox or with the batteries.

Best of luck with it!

Lavabox...

Sorry I missed that, so you have a 900mah lipo and your discharge profile is attached to this post below, make sure to remove the .txt at the end of the file name so it ends with .csv (forum will not allow me to upload csv files).

Here is a tutorial that's specific to YOUR device:

Download and Install Escribe

Take the mod and plug it in to the PC, wait for everything to download from the device...

Go to the Mod tab, click on watt-hour calculator, it will ask if you know the total voltage say yes.
Battery cell Capacity type in 900, nominal voltage should be 11.1

Next you will download the csv file from this post (see below)

After you download the csv file go in escribe: Load CSV > <wherever you put the CSV file you downloaded>

Now your mod understands your batteries alot better and the meter makes more sense.

At this point click on File > Save > and save it wherever you want keep this file in a safe location. This is your settings file backup.

After this you pretty much can mess around with themes, profiles, etc...
Make sure you have a good backup first with a battery discharge profile that matches your batteries.

If you have any questions reply or send me a PM.
