Oh I'm quite aware you can Kick a Grand. I'm talking 18650 battery life, straight 4.2V regulation with something like a 15 Amp limit. It'd somehow still fit in a regular Grand frame and still use the 18650.

It'd still require user knowledge and operate like a mech; only it'd lack any battery drop off.

Make sense now?

Yeah, you could build something along those lines without much fuss, but again, you'd probably have to re-engineer the way the REO button works (I.E. swap the mechanical stuff out for a tactile switch).

How long is the spring in a REO Grand? If there is space...make your circuit in a kick-like button...drop in some PTC fuses...and put that in place of the spring (except at the other end of the battery of course).

personally I really love the dna chips. I've put one in my metal grand and am working on finishing up installing one in my woody. the reo is the perfect companion to a 20 or 30 watt module, to me these are now the best vaping devices I can get my hands on bar none. these are both dna20's but I just ordered a dna30 for my other woody, the hanna would be cool if it had a juice bottle inside to squonk ;D

thanks :) yes I do need to make a cover with buttons for it. the cover will either finish it off to spectacular or make it wind up looking like junk depending on how well it's made, so that will take a bit of care and tinkering. original plan was to make the cover from wood or a combination of wood and brass, but now I'm really getting on a door kick and want to build a few more so the wood for the dna cover may wind up being only an insert that slides in so it matches door in use, or maybe even just brass now that I'm considering multiple doors too. not exactly sure yet how I'll finish it off but it needs to be as perfect as the rest of the reo, I do have a few ideas in mind for it though and I'd like to have replaceable wood inserts to match each door :)
