What is the consensus on using the on-board buttons of the dna chips? I know several production mods use them but I am a little hesitant because I have heard they are mushy. I am thinking of using the on-board buttons for up/down and a standard anti-vandal for the fire switch to save some space. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have avoided using them simply for design reasons...I have tended to want the buttons in different places and I have also not wanted to design an enclosure around the button/ship shape/layout.
There's numerous mods using all three on board buttons, I haven't heard of many problems with them, and they're basically then same since the DNA20
I've only used the onboard buttons on 1 mod. It was a DNA20 quite a while ago. I have no complaints about the buttons, but the pain I went through getting the caps lined up properly and the board seated to use them made me never want to do it again. They're just so small and I have big sausage fingers.
I went with the onboard buttons to save on space, and cannot complain either. There are cautions from Evolv that one must take care to use actuators that will not slip laterally on them. Also I have heard that some people have had issues with pressing them with an implement that was too hard and damaging the switch itself to be stuck on either wattage up/down.
