The Lambo 6.0 has been out with what I suspect are the same electronics.. ElectronicStix.Com · Lambo 6.0 VV/VW Device From what I've read, it is not 33.3Hz, and has a smooth signal. Here's some test results that I saw: (I won't believe it until I actually see it on a scope) If these electronics prove reliable, it could very well be a game-changer...

Hmm.. possibly. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the screen doesn't look very DNA20ish. It looks more like a vamo board to me. The screen looks a little too small, but I guess it's possible they just used a different screen.

Either way, like you said, if they did a good job on the PWM this could definitely be a game changer. There would finally be something more powerful and more flexible than the Provari, that doesn't have a rattlesnake hidden inside it. I know there is the nivel (spelling?) chip but.... is there REALLY a nivel chip? ;) Not to mention it's price.

I'm really hoping China actually designs their own DNA20 hosts instead of just knocking off current DNA20 offerings. Mainly because I think all the current DNA20 offerings are hideous, or sub-par for something that expensive (coughOpusDcough) This first one looks to be a sigelei telescopic z-max style body, not too bad, but lets get some new material going China!

If China was smart (yes I realize I'm referring to a whole country as if it were a person) they would sell mods without any electronics in them. Just take them off the assembly line before the chip gets installed, they would be great for people who want to buy a real DNA20, as it could basically be a drop-in setup.

The Lambo 6.0 has been out for awhile.. I'm just saying they are probably using the same electronics, now with the OLED screen like you suggested. :) From what I understand, L-Rider makes their own electronics for the Lambo, and are probably supplying them to other manufacturers. (Or the other manufacturers are cloning them :p )

We need a reviewer like PBusardo to review these on his scope... ;)

Some companies are coming out with DNA20 designs that aren't terribly bad. My biggest beef with the DNA20 chipset is there's no auto shutoff if you hold the fire button down too long. If that were to get programmed into the chipset, it would be perfect.

This beauty was only $125 :)

there are quite a few dna20 mods out there that aren't "hideous" and quite reasonably priced. I agree the opusd is not one of them.
shan mods, fazedboxmods, and mamu mods make some good looking, well built, reliable mods. some for a lot less than a provari or opusd. an e-mail and some patience and you've got yourself a nice mod that didn't come from china. of course, eventually you knew they were going up their game and build a dna20-like chip. they certainly are industrious with their billion and a half cheap labor force.....

huh?

the nivel chip was designed in russia. the problem was twofold. there were some supplier and manufacturing problems, as well as no american distributors. the DNA series got a foothold by being made and produced here where most of the mod makers using it happen to be. i have a nivel mod and I like it a lot, until some of the dna 20 mods become a little more refined I still think the semovar is better. It may not have the wide feature set of the 20 but the PWM is very high and clean, cant remeber ever needing 20 or more watts on a regulated mod anyways.

I would be very leary until it is proven its not a cheap copy of the screen and wattage limit.and Alibaba is probably the last place in the world to trust a product description until it is actually on the market.

I still contend that if you need to hit 20 watts on a regulated mod you dont know how to build a proper coil for it.

of all the mods I have possibly seen labeled as "game changers" i think the futura and aerovapes 30watt vw "k" are the only ones.
and none of these companies will unthrone provari until they offer service and reliability, just a new chip isnt going to do it.

That's an abysmally stupid statement.

I like dual-coils. I like both coils at 10w each. My coil-building skills are just dandy.

What is it that makes some people walk around thinking that what they want is all that anybody else could want?

Ooh I missed this. I contend that if you would say something like this, you don't know enough about coil building.

You can build a coil (or atomizer, more to the point) for any wattage.
