Hi all,

Longtime member, been away for a while enjoying my vamo, recently back doing research, reading and watching tons, looking for something more...

I'm thinking mechanical... I've tried some mechs with nimbus attys and I like it. It's as if I'm tasting my own juices for the first time again. (I may have to reduce my nic after I make this jump.) Plus, I still have my vamo for vv or vw and as a tester/reader.

I am looking for something affordable but good, "bang for your buck" you could say. But, I'm still somewhat picky. I like minimalist design, small form, stainless steel, hard hits, aw 18350 button top batteries (since I have them already), and I'm thinking bottom button but side would be ok. I'm also ready to get into rebuildables but I don't want anything crazy hard to work on.

I currently use carto tanks with boge lr cartos. Or an atty tank like a kanger pro II or an ismoka. I generally have my vamo set between 3.1 and 3.9 volts and like my resistance between 1.6 or so and 2.4 ohms with mostly fruit flavored juice at 12 mg. (on my vamo that is... I upgraded to a vamo from egos and twists and before that I was a pack a day smoker.)

I don't have a ton of money to be dropping on this and I'm not the type to have a slew of pv's. So, I'm looking to make a strategic buy at the right time that will provide me with something that will last. I can't afford the high end stuff like provari, gg, etc. I am open to a clone/replica if quality is up to par.

So far, I am drawn to the nemesis clone for bottom button and the elegant angel clone for side. Since a nimbus is gonna run me around $60 and I'll probably want something that holds more than a nimbus as well, I just can't drop more than $100 on my device and fasttech's $30 nimbus clone looks pretty damn good to me. Having a charger, batteries, and the "clone wars" are the only reasons I'm even in the market now...

So, my questions are:
1. Thoughts on the nemesis clone or mods like it?
2. Thoughts on elegant angel clone or mods like it?
3. Thoughts on the nimbus? Can I get away with something less expensive?
4. What is a good rebuildable that'll hold some juice and won't leak in my pocket if I don't want to drip?
5. Looking for vendors, it's fasttech then a big jump in price. I know I'll have to wait but, I don't want to get ripped off either.
6. Am I in the right ballpark? Am I asking all the wrong questions and barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks so much for your help and guidance!

My immediate recommendation is an RSST atty and a GP Paps 2.5. However, these are not ideal to your desires. The RSST, like any atomizer with a reservoir really, will leak if not kept upright. The GP Paps 2.5 is about 40 bucks over your target of $100. What they will provide however is rock solid service. The RSST is one of the easiest genesis rba's to rebuild, and a bargain at ~$30. The GP Paps 2.5 is an incredible unit for the money, elegantly simple, and has (IMHO) the best button in the biz.

If you want to stay with drippers, the IGO-L is as good as anything else out there for the price (~$13). As far as venders go, check the ECF Suppliers list and shop around: Forum Suppliers List

Clones...in the grand scheme of things, you can spend $30 on a clone, or get a really, REALLY good mod for a bit over a hundred bucks. The Paps 2.5 pops up in the classies occasionally for around $100. My guess is once you enter the world of mechs and RBA's, you're going to want to upgrade from the clones. Spend the cash once and rest easy.

Hope this helps a wee bit...

Atmizoo Roller. Telescopic, so you can use any battery, without having to play around with a adjusting the pins, each time you change a battery. Good customer service. Less than $150 and built well. I run an RSST with a 1.8ohms wrap. Sometimes to extend the battery time, I run a Evolv Kick 2 on a AW 18490 battery. Otherwise, I use a Hybrid Panasonic 18650 battery.

Thanks Entropy,

The GP Paps 2.5 looks nice. But, it's way outside of my budget. I guess I should have clarified that I'm looking to spend close to $100 on the whole thing (atty) included. So, over $100 on the AVP alone is far too much.

I went ahead and ordered a Nemesis clone from Fasttech for $30 shipped (slow I know). I hope I get a good one. $30 for a 1:1 clone was really hard to pass up.

Now, I need to pick a RDA and/or RBA. I suppose I could just put my carto tanks and kanger on top of it. But, I don't own a dripper yet. So, I'm thinking of picking one of those up first.

I'm liking the Patriot. I know it's relatively new. But, any thoughts? I was liking the Nimbus. But, the Patriot looks to be equal in terms of performance but is 22mm and will be "flush" with the Nemesis.

Thanks again for all your help!
