DNA20d information thread?

Unless my powers of observation are failing horrifically, I don't think there is a one-stop DNA20d info thread, should we build one? The type that has links to the various 20d discussions, tips and tricks, and completed mods, collected in one place. I wouldn't mind doing the legwork, so to speak. Seems like a lot of people are working with the 20d and it would be sweet to have a master thread.

Go for it.....the "search" function here in ECF will be your friend.....you can search the whole ECF forum and you can search within any sub-forum ..... just search on Evolv, DNA20, DNA20D, and DNA20 D....you should find plenty of threads to look at....you will be surprised how many threads there are.....

Or you could contact ECF administration and ask if they would create a sub-forum for the DNA20D, or even the DNA12......that way it may be possible for the administration to move old threads into the new sub-forum (as you find them)...

Just an idea for ya to think about.....but great idea you have....

Maybe for now, just a single (possible stickiable?) thread like the others. I'll try to work on it tonight and we'll see how it goes!
On a side note, did you ever post any information on your "glue on the ribbon" method of securing the 20d ribbon better?

I think I did (slept since then) but I just add a single drop of super glue gel under the ribbon where it meets the circuit board. This secures the ribbon ahead of the solder connections and prevents the ribbon cable from getting broken runs from moving the ribbon cable during installation in an enclosure....

Any reason for superglue versus, say, some epoxy?

Nope, just set quicker...

Thick CA is a modder's best friend. Sets quick, can be applied precisely, and is easier to remove than epoxy if need be. Though I would not try to remove it from the DNA ribbon cable.
