DNA40 battery problems

So a custom mod of mine with the DNA40 chip has some battery issues.

Battery is from Samsung and is fairly new. At full charge the mod gives me a weak battery warning. Battery indicator drops to 30% while vaping but shoots back up to 100% after releasing the fire button.

I'm vaping on a crown with the 1.2ohm coils at about 25-30 Watts.

Is this normal? Can the firmware be updated?

Could be a connection issue in your mod causing voltage drop.

You're right. Battery cap wasn't screwed in properly lol

Most definitely a connection problem at one of three places, GND, Bat+ or Bat-. The loose connection/solder causes the severe voltage drop
