Ok so disclaimer I have no idea about the safety of using titanium wire. It is a safe metal medically but there obviously no research on inhaling it. Use at your own risk. I have not noticed anything negative but I have only been using for a month or so.

I have been running for a while now on nothing but titanium wire and I wanted to post my results. It is stiff and strong and is a breeze to work with. I have been firing and compressing, dry-burning and rewicking is easy. I am not going back to nickel. I use rayon for wicking. I tried wire from 2 different sources.

I am running some kfl+, 2 Lemos and a Silverplay.
kfl+ I am running 8 wraps 24g on a 2.5mm bit. My kfl's are drilled out and running them ~24w keeps a stable temp only hitting tc on long pulls. This is ~.33ohm
Lemo I am running 10wraps 24g on a 3mm bit. I am running these at ~32w and very rarely hit tc. This is ~.44ohm
Silverplay: I don't remember what setup I put on it but I can not get it to hit tp at 40w even on a long draw. Less than .2ohms

This is the wire I am using. It works flawlessly. 350F is ~450 on nickel. Just make sure to rinse it off it still has oil on it.
Titanium Wire, Grade 1 (99.5%), 0.5mm (24 Gauge), 16 Feet, from GalliumSource, LLC: Other Products: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

I tried 28g and 24g on this one but performance was wonky. It would be ok for a bit then start firing way to hot or way to little. I could not get a stable temp on it.

I bought both 24 from the Gallium Source and 30 from Rio Grande to play with last summer when some Greek guy started pushing FUD about Kanthal. Pure titanium was not at all the hot ticket for a conventional mod, and the wire that the Greeks were pushing turned out to be an alloy, not pure. So when the DNA40 came out in October, I already had pure Ti wire on hand and decided to give it another try. I found it superior to nickel in several respects and I've been using it ever since.. Personally, I like three strands of 30 gauge twisted pretty tightly better than a single strand of 24.

Titanium has little ramp up time and cools off instantly right? so it should save on juice as a benefit
Well, titanium has about 1.23x the specific heat, but only about half the density of nickel. So in principle if you make exactly the same coil (same wire gauge, number of wraps, etc.), it should only require about 61% of the energy to heat it up, and you'll only need to dissipate 61% of the energy when it starts to cool. In practice though, you probably won't make exactly the same coils.

Greetings all just started using Ti grade 1 in my rdna 40 I find it far superior to Ni200 in every way, you can set the temp much lower and still get a warm vape, the flavor is much more noticeable (stronger) and also the wattage is set much lower. The wire is stronger and much easier to work with, and you don't need as many wraps I did 5 wraps around a 2.4 mm screwdriver it came out to 1.9 a little higher than I wanted but it is still great .I'm running it at 340 F 19.8 watts on my Patriot rda, and getting tons of flavor and vapor. Anyone else using Ti ?
