Do all juices have this issue?

Happily vaping with my new eGo and Johnson Creek juice. I do have one question, though: Do all of the juices have that nutty/hazelnut sort of back flavor to them? I expected something like dark cherry to taste more like, well, cherry. It seems that all of the Johnson Creek flavors I've tried have that same base flavor to them, with just hints of the intended flavor. Is that how it's supposed to be?

This may sound kinda weird, but I was looking forward to the cherry having more of a candy kind of taste. So far, it all tastes like burnt, flavored cappuccino. LOL!

Short answer - no. I have never tried Johnson Creek juices but I can tell you that the four I tried from Gourmet Vapor (Fire Cured Brandy, Maiden Coffee, Blueberry and a menthol flavor) all had the exact same back taste, kind of barnyard/old gym sock essence.
Try another vendor. I'm partial to FSUSA but there's a bunch of them out there.

So, it could just be the brand? The back flavor of the JC juice isn't wholly unpleasant... it just all tastes too similar for me. I guess I just wanted more bold, pronounced flavors.

Have you tried Johnson Creek's Red Oak line? I know that nutty taste you're talking about. I kind of like it in undertones, but I don't care for it when it's the main flavor from the liquid. It's actually less pronounced in Johnson Creek's original (PG) line than from other vendors I have tried. But their Red Oak (VG) line, at least the Domestic, Tennessee Cured, Wisconsin Frost, and Valencia don't have it at all. At least I can't detect it.

This was my first order of juice (just getting started.) I was tempted to go with the Red Oak kit instead of the basic starter. I will give them a try next time.

That is how Johnson Creek's juices are supposed to be. They really need to rename their juices. All of their juice uses the same wet sock-tasting (to me) tobacco base, be it the tobacco flavors, fruit flavors, dessert flavors, whatever. It's a real disservice to newer vapers to call something black cherry and have it taste like black cherry tobacco...confusing as can be. I, like you, ordered the sampler for JC very early in my vaping journey and wondered the same thing.

The good news: no other vendor I've found does this. Order some fruit flavors, coffee flavors, whatever from someone else and they'll pretty much taste like their namesakes. I'm not saying you'll like a different vendor's juices any better (though I do, for sure), just that JC seems to be the only vendor that sells every flavor with misleading names.
