Do Clapton coils gunk up faster than straight parallel coils

When I use custard juice my coils tend to gunk up fairly quickly. I would like to start building Clapton coils but would I need to change them out, or clean them more often? I've seen YouTube videos of spaced Clapton builds. Do those stay cleaner longer?

IDK, for sure but my guess is that yes claptons would be just as prone to gunking as what you are using if not worse. BUT, I also think alot is going to come do to how much power you are running vs how much wire you are using.

I don't do Captons, because I run unregulated and pretty low on the power scale. Sub 20 watts. But the main reason is that for me contact coils gunk faster than spaced coils.. IMO the Clapton, even if mounted spaced, is the ultimate contact coil.

Yes clapton gunks up faster but it's so worth it. Plus i don't find gunk changes the flavor much myself.
