Do dual coil cartos shorten battery life?

o.k. folks, I'm a self-declared computer dummy, and tech dummy 9 especially where the Ohms and and such are concerned. I've been reading up on the mega duel cartos, and then I got lost and now I'm considering the " tanks" , or are they the clear tanks? I'm SOOOOO confused!
I'm sick of the teeny 510"s, I don't care for the cartos that have to be filled with a syringe, I just couldn't get the hang of the ones that show the filler, and besides I'm a seriously heavy vaper, just as I was a heavy smoker for fifty years.
I want to be able to vape for at least a few hours without having to mess with refilling the juice on any of the systems.
I thought the Mega duel coil cartos were the answer till I read some posts that they destroy the eGo and mega eGo batts.

Please, please, please don't inform me about the Ohms and all those other smart people terms, I just get a major headache and have to go to bed with a cold cloth on my forhead...well, maybe that's an exageration, lol.

If I can't use my eGo mega batts with the duel carts or the clear tanks, what do I need to get?

I bought a 510 tank system (mini battery), and I really don't like it. There is enough vapour, but seriously reduced flavour. There's also a plasticy taste to everything, which I'm not at all fond of. Also, the batteries last about twenty minutes. Seriously. Both batteries are going back, but I suspect the entire kit is useless. I guess I'll keep it for emergencies.
I really like the Riva 510, and combined with dual coil cartos (2ohm), I get great results with VG. Trouble is, as I said at the top of the post, one of my batteries has dies after only two months. I recharge maybe once a day, so that works out about 60 cycles - nowhere near the 300 I should expect. It could just be a dud, but I'm dumping a lot of money trying to find the best setup. In two months I must have spent £150 on kits, attys, catos, liquids. That compares to about £250 smoking. Less, I know, but still not as cheap as I thought it would be. I'm about to spend another £30 on a couple of batteries and some new boge cartos to see how they stack up, but like I said, I really like the taste of the dual coils. I suspect I've been spoiled by them.
I guess my main problem is that I just want something that's reliable. I guess we're just not there yet with our kit, are we.
