I have an SE Riva. Hubby uses an eGo. I recently been using the dual coil cartomisers and love them, but found out they could ruin our batteries.

I want to get something new to use these dual coils cartos on.

We've been vaping for almost 2 months and love it. Cigarettes are a thing of the past.

We are on a budget. I've been looking at the e-power. VV makes me drool with excitement but is more expensive.

Any suggestions????

Thanks and happy vaping.

I have been vaping for three years. Here's my main setup:

Puresmoker Icon
14500 batteries
Smoktech dual coil cartos
BWB Casablanca and Adirondack

I've tried em all.

Just ran one of the dual coils for a week, no loss of flavor or vapor. And NO BURNED TASTE!!!!

These things are leaps and bounds ahead of everything else (including all of the "clear" ones).

Ive been using cartos since the beginning of cartos, and these things CHANGE THE GAME!

vaping saved my life

:)

here's another option from madvapes - The Rough Stack Long Body (maxi rough stack). You can run a single 18650 @ 3.7v. You can run a pair of 16340 for 6.0v. They are soon to carry a custom 5.0v battery the same size as an 18650 for 5.0v vaping (or you can get a similar 5.0v from electronicstix). It isn't VV but that's a lot of voltage choices just by swapping batteries.

I'm vaping the dual coils at 6.0v right this minute.

There are quite a few other tube mods that can take several different batteries. The thing to look for if you're hoping to run the ~1.6 ohm dual coils at higher voltages is how many amps the switch can take. That also goes for VV units if that's what you end up buying. A 3 amp switch is going to be a desirable feature once you move in to the 5 volt range and above. -- the Mako Maksi and Midi from electronicstix are a couple of fairly reasonably priced, well built (and good looking) tube mods that can handle several different voltages and have a good switch.

When you look at the VV units (assuming you stick with the dual coil cartos), ask around a little and find out how many volts others have been able to get their VV units to fire the dual coils at. There is a review of the dual coils in the review section and there is some mention of different VV units only being able to fire the cartos at certain voltages.

It's probably also true for certain battery set-ups as well. I've fired the dual coils at 3.0, 3.4, 3.7, 5.0, and 6.0v, but I couldn't get them to go at 7.4v with my set up. I watched a couple of videos where others were able to run them that high, but I couldn't do it with a pair of 18350s.
