Actually its "soda pop" if we are going to be technical.. but soda sounds like something my great grandmother would say! So pop it is!! :p That and soda is lots of things washing soda, baking soda etc
I'm pleased to say everybody's right in this case. It is indeed "pop". And "soda". And "coke", too. It just varies by region. Here's a map: The Pop vs. Soda Page

Both for me. Maybe. Theoretically?

Gain weight: I no longer have to walk downstairs to go to the patio to smoke a cigarette. I am losing out on all the "exercise" from that, plus freezing outside and shivering. That's gotta burn calories too.

Lose weight: I no longer have to drive to the gas station in the middle of the night to buy cigarettes, that's usually when I buy a bunch of candy, chips, and ice cream.

there are places in Louisiana where it's a "co drank" not cold.. but co, although it could also mean sweet tea.
These days if it contains high fructose corn syrup or aspartame, I just call it poison. I've been drinking a LOT more water since I started vaping.. probably the same excessive amount of coffee too.

I've lost weight but I don't think it has anything to do with vaping... Or moreso.. if I were eating normally, I wouldn't lose weight just by vaping various flavors. (I've been on a strict diet, which I attribute to the weight loss, not vaping) While I think that it helps to be able to vape things that you may not be able to eat, I don't think on its own it's enough to lose weight. On the flip side, I definitely don't think it causes weight gain.

As a compulsive eater and someone who CRAVES something the moment someone mentions it or I see it, I can honestly say that the sweet flavors have not continued that compulsion. I was deathly afraid they would, but I disliked all tobacco flavors immediately and have only been vaping bakery, sweet fruity and occasionally menthol flavors. Not once has this made me grab for the food. I'm 32 days into this process and about 45 days into trying to eat healthier and have lost 10 pounds. I def attribute that to the eating healthier and not the vaping, but will say that it's helping having something to curb the sweet tooth when it screams. :)
Of course YMMV and best of luck.

I think vaping helps with weight loss actually. You get the sweet fix and the nicotine, which is an appetite suppressant. Since I started vaping, I find I have to force myself to eat as I would rather just puff away all day. I am big into fitness, so its a win win with keeping my body tight and right.

Nicotine is the appetite suppressant, so as long as you keep that in your system and your hands stay busy, you shouldnt gain weight from switching. Its when you quit smoking all together, the nic stops, and the urge to calm cravings by eating that the weight really packs on. Vaping really is a win win in every way.

I've only smoked tobacco flavors for a little over a year and I'm wanting to branch out into flavored ejuices. Has anyone noticed any weight gain because the flavors entice you to eat more or does it satisfy those "sweet tooth" cravings and actually result in weight loss?

Well I've vaped fruit, dessert, candy and even alcoholic beverage flavors in my course of vaping--since 9 Feb 2013.

Here's what I noticed. In the first month of vaping I gained 15 pounds. In the course of the last two months (March and April) I've lost 20 pounds. I attribute the initial weight gain to smoking cessation.

However, with vaping since drinking a lot of water is necessary, for me about 3-5L a day, its the water that suppresses my appetite. Stomach full of water doesn't trigger the hunger signals to the brain. I've also noticed that my caffeine consumption is also gone down considerably and I was somewhat of a Cafe Cubano junky. I've gone from one of those a day to two or three per week.

Cafe Cubanos have a large amount of sugar in them.
