I've been losing weight, but then again instead of sipping on a beer while watching tv, I've replaced that with vaping. And lungs clearing up has meant more biking. I don't believe vaping flavored juices will have any affect on weight, it's your habit/routines, calorie intake minus calories burned = change in weight and 1lb of fat = 3500 calories.

It's a regional thing heh. I was born and raised in the Miami area so that what's we called it, seems the same here in San Antonio. Some parts of the country I've visited actually call all sodas coke. Even if it isn't the coke brand. That's even more odd to me.

I thought that was a texas thing, calling everything coke
"you want a coke.?"

"Yea."

"what flavor?"

Yep! Frequent conversation in my house:

Me: do you want a coke?
Guest: sure, what do you have?
Me: dr. Pepper, mt. Dew and diet coke.

No!!!

Separate companies! LoL

It's like saying.

"You want to go to a McDonald's?"

"Sure which one?"

"Burger King..."

Fail! Lolz

I was going to say the same thing. Where i grew up, it was either soda or Coke, even if what we were drinking wasn't Coca Cola.

Well geez I really derailed this thread with pop! But here its both pop and soda..and then watching people nearly kill each other over who is right. I dont really care what people call it just sounds more dated like from the 20's lol

I'm one of those that vapes mostly for the taste. I used to smoke many years about (about 5) and didn't miss a thing besides the actual act. I don't know what it is, but the act of inhaling something is just relaxing and enjoyable for me. It really helps with my stress. Plus I have mild OCD so I HAVE to always be doing multiple things at once and vaping while driving or writing, is perfect. I got my friend into doing it as well because he had seen me doing it. He was tempted to pick up smoking again because of stress/etc but decided to give vaping a go instead. He liked it. Tried to get my dad to stop smoking (again). He had tried those Blu type cigarettes but never a mod type... So I bought him a 5 volt Sabor Touch and yeah he never used it so now it's mine. Hey, I tried.

Yes, in the south a carbonated beverage is often called a coke (lowercase c, not Coke with a capital C).

It's really no different than when people elsewhere in the country ask for a kleenex, chapstick, or a band-aid. They really want a tissue, lip balm, and an adhesive bandage but instead of a generic descriptor they call out these items by an almost universally recognized brand name.

I've lost weight. One reason is my body retains fluid like crazy. I could get an 8 pound overnight gain from just two pieces of bacon and was on a nearly salt-free diet. That's a thing of the past. Vaping does dehydrate and for some of us with a history of fluid retention, that's actually a good thing as all that fluid was excess and unhealthy... hard on blood pressure and the heart. Also, I smoked instead of eating but didn't realize it until I started vaping. I guess that's why people gain weight trying to quit the smokes. Now I vape to my lil heart's content.... much more often than I could ever have smoked... so, yeh, I've lost quite a bit. Dieters and diabetics (myself) use PVs as aides for that.
