I think this is the main reason. I guess it gives a sense of confidence that the juice they buy comes in a glass bottle. It's the same reason mods come in aesthetically pleasing wooden box with velvet lining... .it's just packaging that foam and cardboard would do just as well. But, it gives the impression of superiority. That question reminded me of something that happened just recently...

I am a baker... at a grocery store. We sell cupcakes, bread, and all sorts of pastries. We're the "mass producer", we can put out 30-40 birthday cakes per day. up the street is a specialty cupcake shop.. they are a small time mom and pop setup. They make gourmet cupcakes to order, and they're quite a bit fancier looking. Last birthday, we bought 24 cupcakes from my bakery. They lasted halfway through the second day. Total spent was $17 for 24 half chocolate half vanilla buttercream iced cupcakes. When it was time for my older son's graduation, my wife decided to go gourmet, and she ordered 24 cupcakes, a variety, and had them on a fancy stand. The cupcakes looked great.. as well they should have. They were about $100. Most were eaten at the party, and most raved over the looks. Me, being a baker, payed attention.. and many people would scrape off the icing and not eat part of the cupcakes. four days later, I decided to throw away the last few cupcakes that nobody seemed to want and were getting quite dried out.

So, it doesn't matter about the price, you vape what you like whether or not it comes in a glass or plastic bottle. It shouldn't matter if it's mass produced, or crafted by an artisan and labeled in gold leaf. Tastebuds are personal, and people like what they like.

And I've never known a plastic bottle to leak due to the flavor. That problem was with the old Stardust/iclear 16/CE5 clearomizers that used a rigid plastic (Polycarbonate). The bottles ejuice usually comes in is LDPE (Low Density PolyEthylene) which is a semi flexible plastic with a totally different consistency. How many REOS have you heard leaking due to citrus/cinnamon flavors?
Thanks for the examples! Personally I haven't seen any leak or melt but have just heard stories of them melting slowly from the inside. I would imagine this is due to the juice sitting for a very long period of time.....but the question does still come up that if some of these stories were true, why would they eat up plastic? and if they do, shouldn't glass be used?

Or maybe even a step further, if some companies know certain flavors eat plastic like pineapple, cinnamon or citrus types of flavors, maybe use glass for those? Just a thought...personally plastic or glass makes no difference as per me. Like someone said up above, the juice doesn't last long enough to cause issues of plastic erosion.

Now I want a cupcake....or maybe vape one lol

Plastic used for bottles is very different from plastic used for clearos. I've never heard about bottle going bad because of juice.

I think it depends on their source and type of plastic. Most reputable shops do research on the plastic, or have been in the industry long enough to know the difference. I buy from Mt. Baker Vaper, and they know theirs is LDPE. They ship both their citrus and regular flavors in them. I vape citrus flavors, and I've ran across old bottles with some juice left in.. no melting or no problems with them. There's no reason for them to switch to glass.

Interestingly enough, their higher priced juices come in glass... I guess that's the presentation sort of thing. Same thing with some of their juices.. they have food coloring added to them. It's all about presentation.
