So I've been vaping my kGo (ego clone) 1100mah 3.7v pv for almost three weeks now and things have been going great. I've used blu cigs and 510 yeti, and the kGo is by far the best vaping experience I've had so far and is the best starter pack I could recommend for anyone new.

Because I have had a great experience with this, and it is a 3.7v device, I'm wondering if I will need to take the next step sometime to mods. Do i need a mod that can do 3.7 volts if I'm already getting that from the kGo? Is 5 of 6volts worth the price jump?

I really like the looks of the Reos mods, but do I need a bottom feeder, and I also like how small the Reo mini is but again, do I need another 3.7v pv? What about a VV?

If someone could help me out here and tell me if its worth it to jump into the mod world and if there are any mods in specific that I should check out over a bottom feeder. I would really like something that I can throw into my jeans easily and semi discreet so that its portable.

Any help is much appreciated!

Well, other vets may have their own opinions, but I personally am not a fan of higher voltage. Just too hard to control for me, and I end up with burnt taste very fast, in general. I have a couple larger batt mods (an 18650 3.7V Shine and a 510N), and these are REGULATED to 3.7V. The KGO and the Riva are not regulated, so they are coming off the charger at 4+V, and this makes a big difference. I have 6 KGO or Riva 100 mAh batts in rotation, and this is my main battery, far and away. Just all good for me.

That said, using these batts, I much prefer good cartomizers to attys. Favorites are LR Boge cartos, but I also really like the 1.5 or 1.6 ohm dual coil cartos. And also some tanks (not the tank-atty, like an eGo-T, but a MAP tank (Clouds of Vapor is where I got mine, 3.2 ohm) or an Acorn tank (parkesvaping.com, 3.0 ohms). They hold around 4 mL and I like them on occasion.

So my windy point is: for me the Riva or KGO 1100mAh batt is just great, and I upgraded the carto end. I thought I might be interested in a VV at some point, but at this point I'm just not. I like the extra batt life of an 18650 tube mod, but the regulated 3.7V just doesn't give the punch that the Riva gives...but its not too much of a punch to be hard to control.

I suggest going the cheaper route and try different cartomizers. I put a drip tip on mine for easy filling. In other words, get all you can from what you have, which as far as I'm concerned is very good, and then see if something more advanced is a direction you want to go.

i, as many here have, started vaping as a way to switch from tobacco combustion, and then took it further into a hobby. i enjoy building new devices, and also buying most everything that comes to market.

but to answer your question, if you are fully satisfied with your current setup, there really isn't any need to 'upgrade'
