My vamo and the atomisers wont actually screw in tight anymore they are a bit lose because I actually sat on it when getting back into the golf buggy when playing golf. the atomiser that was attached at the time was bent at a 20 degree angle and the thread is rooted. I have a innokin iClear 16 Dual Coil Electronic Cigarette Round Mouth Atomizer (1.6ml)...that also screws in but when I try to tighten it up it becomes loose. So i can only screw it just before it comes loose but is still vaporable.
if the thread on the actual vamo is rooted is there any way to get it fixed or do I need a new one?

I would say probably yes to replacing it. The Vamo is a great PV for the price but the threading is not top notch. I'm using a 510 to 510 stealth adapter on mine to minimize using the threads. But any PV if you sit on it is capable of the atty/carto connection being damaged. It's one of the advantages of the Vamo being so inexpensive, since replacing it isn't nearly as painful as many PV's with it's features.

if the threads arnt to damaged could you not retread it with a die and if they are beyond repair can the vamo thread part be removed I wonder. I dont have one yet and havent got to cheek one out but im getting one soon hopefully. maybe get a insert connector that converted to the opposite ego threads.

if the iner threads are damaged and the treading part can be removed it should be possiable to use a filler like jbweld epoxy and redrill the hole and use a tap to retread it which would fix it.

that is a good question... Looking at mine the top looks like one piece. It's working fine so I don't really want to screw around with it.

It would have to come off right? Like the top portion screws on to the top (the flat area with the ego/510 connection as one piece).

It doesn't look welded... perhaps it is screwed on then glued or some sort of adhesive is used....

If I was in your situation I would just be the guinea pig and give it a go.... but find out if they have this part first also would be prudent lol.

Anyone know the thread diameter and pitch? I bet you could get a HeliCoil kit that would let you repair a dozen or so mods......

510 connector is 7mmx.5mm

Helicoil was going to be my first suggestion too. In fact, though I've never had a problem with the threads on my Vamo (because I'm quite gentle when threading and un-threading) I've thought about putting a stainless steel helicoil in mine to ensure no future problems.

I'd replace the top cap before the whole mod.... Vamo SS Battery Connector / Top Cap
That's the V2 not the V3

Pics of the damage please

I use a eGo neck pouch for my Vamo..keep it around my neck

The Vamo V3 connector head is snug/friction fit into the section containing the buttons and electronics. If you remove it with the intent of replacing it, I'm pretty sure you'll need a soldering iron and some solder.

If it were me, I'd just as soon get a replacement.

FWIW, my Vamo never leaves the house. For out and about, I have a slew of 650, 900 and 1100mAh systems.
