I'm going to simply say this, I am completely happy with my vaping expirence!! I get wonderful flavor! Great vapor! I build my own coils, sub ohm when I want, I can vape up to 50 watts if I want, I'm happy.. and I don't have a provari, nor do I need a provari. I guess for my vaping style with liking to build, and going sub ohm, and vaping low resistance, and wanting higher wattage, the Provari would actually be RESTRICTIVE to me. As I could not do the things I love to do with it. So it would be a disappointment and Waste Of money FOR me. It would NOT enhance my experience, but hinder it. But if your not interested in lower resistance vaping, and not interested in ever going sub ohm, and not interested In vaping with higher wattage and the restrictions don't matter or pertain to you, then yes it might be a very good choice. But it's certainly NOT for everyone. And as for enhancing your vape, I suppose that depends on what you want out of your vaping expirence. As I mentioned it would NOT enhance my experience but actually hurt it and put restrictions on it. So no it does NOT enhance EVERYONES expirence. It just depends what your looking for. I've never been much on buying something just for the name. I'm more interested in how it performs, what are it's specs, and most importantly what restrictions would I have while using it. But we are all different, with different wants and needs and that's what makes this forum a great place. We all see things a little differently. So in my opinion, it just matters what you want out of your vaping expirence weather or not provari is a good choice for you. For me, it's not. I can be completely happy without ever having purchased one.. but to each his own.. I say, if it makes you happy, then go for it. But as for actually enhancing your vaping expirence, well, I suppose that depends on your vaping style.. for me, no. I don't like the restrictions. But ifor that does not bother you, then yes it might be a good device for you. However it's NOT for everyone. But it's good that we all are different. It would be boring if we were all the same. So if you want a provari, go for it! Just be happy in what you do. And enjoy yourself.

You are NOT going to do well when my bill passes... ;)

Have a great day, everyone. And whatever you do, vape it.

I would venture to say that everyone needs a mod of some sort that can accommodate an 18650 battery or at least replaceable batteries. If you decide to vape a Vision Spinner or something in the 1300mah range, you essentially have two batteries with electronics built in. If the battery fails, your throw it away and buy another.

With a mod that uses replaceable 18xxx batteries, you spend somewhere around $10 for a new battery and keep vaping. Eventually that $10 hit adds up, but not as rapidly as a $25 hit. One 18650 can outvape a 1300mah spinner in vaping time by a factor of two using the same atomizer. Over a matter of years the extra cost in a replaceable battery mod will begin to amortize itself in battery cost savings. I'm still vaping on AW 18650 batts that are well over two years old and they still give me long vaping time. I rotate them along with others to prolong their lives.

My intent is not to disparage the Spinner. It has its place for people who want slim shapes and stealthy proportions. It's also a good device to carry when there's a chance that it might be lost or stolen on a camping trip or at a concert. Some people just like the form factor and prefer small shapes in spite of short battery life.

Maybe someone should start a thread entitled, "How long did your <insert name> mod last before it stopped working?". I'd like to see stats on that parameter! Maybe we will find that Chinese mods really do last a long time.

It was worth it for me. Started off with a couple ego twists and kanger aerotank mini and i found myself still smoking analogs while out at the bar and stuff.

Decided to take the plunge into the Provari mini 2.5, which lead me to learn how to build a kayfun safely and properly. This was a pretty big difference for me. Way higher quality, wasn't as afraid that I was going to break it like the ego. Wayyy better taste and more vapor. Being able to swap batteries made it convenient too.

I spent three years telling myself I didn't need a ProVari. Partially because I am frugal, partially because I thought there wasn't that much difference from one variable voltage mod to another.

I did notice that many VV devices that use more basic regulation either used up batteries quickly or gave a harsher vape at a given voltage. After learning more about pulse width modulation, I tried an Evic, which I believe uses 100hz, and found far better smooth power. Sort of a poor man's Provari.

Last week a good friend gifted me a two year old ProVari, which has seen rough use. It provides the smoothest power and best vape of any device I have tried. My batteries last about 40% longer too. I'm using it between 3.7-4 volts. I can't put it down.

With a setup you are happy with, there is little reason to make a change right now. Should you later want to go for a really good 18650 device that is extremely durable and can be repaired at nominal cost by the manufacturer, any ProVari, even a used one, is worth it. I didn't know what I was missing.

Some say it doesn't make a difference in vapor or flavor I beg to differ I had been happy vaping away on an mvp2 for over 6 months I got a provari and with the same nautilus tank I had put aside because of lack of flavor and vapor on the mvp2 I was getting excellent flavor and waaay more vapor and that increased even more flavor wise when I switched to the bvc coils.

Red, I'm kind of in the same state of quandary as you. I now have 3 VV3s and 3 MVP2s (along with a couple of Spinner 1300 and a Volcano Inferno set.)

I rebuild my coils for my EVODs and my kayfun clones. I am now starting to make my own juice. WHAT MORE????? I get a more than satisfactory cloud and flavor with my current setup. I just can't justify the cost of a Provari at this time (Provarinati, PLEASE don't crucify me just yet....)

I've posed this question in my MVP2 forum, and a contingent is suggesting that I try dripping as my "next step". For that, do I need to sub-ohm? If I do, then I *will* need a device with "moar power", as 11W (3-3.5A) just won't cut it. How much "moar" power will I need? I'm not sure that even at 15W, the Provari will get me there. For all my standard toppers, may be an improvement, but I'm not quite convinced yet. Folks mention that even the MVP (for a disposable mod) has about as smooth a vape for about 1/5 the price.

So, do I *need* a Provari? Technically no. Would I like one? So I can be like some of the other "kool kids", maybe. Is there something "better"? Better is subjective. What is "better" for me, isn't "better" for you or anyone else.

That I can stay away from smoking cigarettes, and I now have a new hobby - that's what's priceless.

My :2c: for what's it's worth: Do you want a tough, durable mod that just works and works well? If so, maybe you should. I have two and really wish I would've just done it sooner as I would've saved myself considerable money buying other equipment that I don't use anymore since buying them. Second, speaking of money, are you in a position to drop over $200.00 on a mod? As much as I love mine, it is a considerable investment and may not be worth it to you.

I understand from your post that you have no interest in rebuilding, at least at this time. If you later develop an interest in rebuilding and decide to try sub-ohm vaping it will not be your best choice as the ProVari's built in safety features don't allow it. Which is another positive in my opinion as there is not that need to learn battery safety to the extent that you would if you decide to sub-ohm .

Whatever you decide to do...ProVari or no ProVari... enjoy your journey!

If you tend to be rough with your gear ... such as working construction and want to be able to treat your vape like any other tool in the toolbox ... or maybe you just don't want to worry about dropping it

then a Provari is a good idea ... these things can take a real beating.

oh, and they vape pretty good too

I didn't buy my Provari because of it's name. They all have names. I got it because I was in to vaping for the long haul and I wanted something that would last. Mine did not cost $200. You can get one for $130-150, they are called Blems, the blemished section of Provape and you'll be hard pressed to find it. If you are really interested wait for the Provari 3. If that ends up costing outrageous then get the 2.5 Blem.

I use a Kayfun 3.1 RBA as a topper and couldn't be happier. I'm not into sub-ohming and don't plan on it. I'm in this to stay off cigarettes.

The Innokin itaste vv3.0 is a great device and I've had mine for a long time. The only thing is the short battery life. So I bought an Innokin 134 and a few 16500 batteries. It is a great set up, and last much longer than the itaste. I've never used a Provari, but I can't really see spending that much money for something that won't improve my experience all that much, and now that I've bought a mechanical mod and started building on a Kayfun I know I will never buy a Provari.

I, too am completely happy with my vaping experience!! I get wonderful flavor, great vapor, and build my own coils. I don’t sub ohm, and seldom vape above 15 watts. I'm happy!! I guess for my vaping style building, but not going sub ohm, and not wanting higher wattage, the Provari is for me. Because I can do the things I love to do with it, mainly vape trouble free, knowing that the last vape will be as great as the first. It is not a disappointment or waste of money FOR me. It has enhanced my vape experience tenfold.

Going sub ohm and vaping higher wattage is certainly NOT for me/everyone. It wouldn’t enhance my vape experience. As for enhancing your vape, I suppose that depends on what you want. Everybody is different. So no it does NOT enhance MY/ EVERYONES experience. To each his own.

I've never been much on buying something just for the name either. I'm more interested in proven performance, reviews, will it do what I need it to, can it survive me and if not can it be repaired. We all see things a little differently. The Provari is a good choice for me. I wasn’t completely happy purchasing just one. I need a back up for my back up. I agree, do what makes you happy. But as for actually enhancing your vaping experience, well, that depends on your vaping style. For me, I don’t mind what others call restrictions. If they don’t bother you, then yes it might be a good device for you. There is not a one mod fits all. So if you want a Provari, go for it! I’m glad I did. If I had known about the Provari when I first upgraded from my 2 original Smok spinners I would’ve saved a pile of money looking for the perfect mod. After purchasing my first Provari I have not searched, or surfed for the perfect mod. I found it for me it is the Provari.

I waited a long time to buy my ProVari's.
Hubby bought at Christmas last year, we were going to share but that didn't happen... He didn't give it up. LOL
I bought my first one in February. Best money I ever spent. I don't regret it one bit.
Since February, I've bought 2 more.
I love my 3 mini's I believe they are a step up from my VV 3.0's and my MVP 2.0's. They are built very well, they are extremely consistent. Same exact vape every time. I wished I had bought them sooner but I'm glad I have them and haven't used my MVP's or VV 3.0's since.
Good luck!
