Personally, titanium oxide is poison, so I avoid it. Nickel just has a low melting point.
1. Titanium oxide is not a poison (it is used in sunscreens, for example)
2. Nickel has rather high melting point (about 2,600 F)

But I still not buying into TC (I use Taifun and kayfun with kanthal). I think I'll wait for one year, then will think again.

Summed from the MSDS on tit dioxide

The substance may be toxic to lungs, upper respiratory tract. Repeated or prolonged exposure to the substance can produce target organs damage.

Inhalation and applying topically has totally different effects.

Been messing around with TC Mods for a a couple of days now, I have two, A heatwave invade mini and A smok xpro 80. Contrary to what I read the smok does work in the TC mode you just have to turn that mode on. The heatwave invader mini does it automatically. Yes I tried Nickle coils and Nickle and Kanthal twists. Personal choice ? I would go back to my Kanthal duel coil builds. I do not have all that problem with dry hits and do not go for a lung hit for such a long time to warrant concerns that some write about i.e. the formation of formaldyhyde. The longest pull I take is about 4 seconds and that with a 0.5 ohm build gives me more than enough flavour and cloud satisfaction without having to mess with Nickle which I found rather fragile on its own and very time consuming building twits. Just my 5c worth.

Titanium Dioxide.
This is to illustrate what we are actually talking about.
Going by MSDS, if you looked up nicotine, you'd have to never touch a vape again.

Furthermore, it seems the FDA is okay with it being used in foods.

"(1) The quantity of titanium dioxide does not exceed 1 percent by weight of the food."

But as usual, everyone should make up their own mind about things.

Ya totally agree on people making up their own minds. It is a summed up version of what the msds says on titanium oxide and the word "may" is definitely present.. wanted to make sure someone reading doesn't go off it's 100% safe without knowing there is a possible health risk. I personally use titanium and get good results, but i know of the possibility. Sorry for the tangent off op :p

All I can say is different strokes for different folks. In my neck of the woods I know people that won't even try Sub Ohming and some still using ego batteries and CE4 clearos . Personally since trying Sub Ohming I love it. Building coils is fun when one is boared and even a greater money saver once you get the hang of it.

You are right. Anything alien to lungs should be avoided. We should not vape at all.
