Hello everyone !

Now, I am on my last studying before buying.
I just found a distributor near my place, so now I am gonna buy something he has in stock ( can't wait anymore )
and anyway, the more I look, the more I am confused... I guess I will have just to give it a try on my own ;-)

so, I think about getting a 510 for me and an ego for my boyfriend.

the boyfriend won't fill anything.. everything has to be ready to use. it will come with empty cartridges ( people has already told me not to go with cartridges... ) should I go with tank then? but tank are for you to filled right?
so I guess I will try cartridges ( the are cartomizer right?) but if that means he drinks liquid... he won't use it !

and what about me ? 510 or 510T ? I will be filling it up of course ! much more choose of liquid I think !
but tank or cartridges ?

the only other choice I had was the 801, read nice things about it , but it seems bigger than 510 ( I am trying to get the slimmer one... ) I don't mind if I have to charge batteries... my only concern is people say the 510 get too hot

thank you so much for your advices !

I started with an ego T setup and I can say I was not pleased with the tank setup so I quickly switched to cartomizers. The Boge cartomizers are the easiest to start with. Any cartomizer with a 510 thread will work. I do not have any experience with the cartridges. I am sure someone with info will respond soon.

I just bought a Tornado Tank, normally use a V2 KR808 but got tired of the battery/carto life, I was a little iffy on the change as I have no experience with a 3 piece, but so far I'm loving the tank. It lasts a good amount of time between fills, and the battery on the tornado is trucking at 4 hours of good vaping without a charge.

Edit:
The 510 does heat up a little if you vape for a bit or take big hits. Carto's can leak a little of you pull too hard on them or point them up while vaping, but I never had much of a problem. Carto's are also a pain to refill, unless you get something like Boge or one of the clear cartos from totally wicked. As for a slim (cigarette like) battery, they're nice to start off with but I found myself needing a PCC to get through the day, that or 3 batteries...

you guys... she's asking about a 510-T... not a eGo-T

Sorry, Prokia, wish I had experience... I do know that I also originally thought I wanted slimmer eCigs... learned that what I thought I wanted was not what I needed... so a year later(after returning to smoking :( ) I went with a eGo... MUCH Happier.

BTW, TommyG... I got the tornado-T as well and LOVE it.

My wife wanted to stick with thin batteries as well but at 220/280 mAh they just don't last and now she uses 1000mAh eGo batteries.

As for something thin IMO your best bet at the boge cartomizer. Tried a 510-t and I wasn't pleased.

I just bout my first PV the other day I have the eGo-T, I know alot of people have had issues with it leaking but none here. I know you are looking for a more sleek model, let me tell you I have been switching tanks and flavors for the last two days and no issues. Also with the tank you don't have to worry about getting juice in your mouth like with the carts. I would get both, the 510 and the 510-T atomizer and cartomizer and see which one you like best. The advantage of that is if you don't like one your BF can use the T parts for his PV since they are interchangeable. I would suggest trying setups until you find what suits you. No two vapers are alike.

Sorry to the OP.....there are so many different terms for "tanks".

Great prices on three choices with awesome batteries:

E-Power From Smok Tech and HECS

or

KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit

or

TGO tank from SLB

You'll have a learning curve on whatever you try. And, you'll have to "fill" no matter what, unless you buy pre-filled, which imho is not the way to go.

The 510 does not get too hot, it's a matter of preference. Another popular option is the KR808.

The kit battery relates to the amount of use. The smaller the batteries the more they need to be charged. Some only run about an hour like the 510! The mega 510 about 2 hrs. For a pack a day smoker the eGo works great & each battery only needs charged once per day as 2 batteries can last the 24 hr day.

So you have a boyfriend that won't fill anything. Don't take this wrong but are you sure he's ready and willing to vape?
Tanks can sometimes be easy to use and sometimes very problematic especially for the impatient and those that don't want to tinker. I would suggest a high end Starter Kit with Mega or XL cartomizers. Takes 5 minutes to fill a bunch of them, they last a long time and vape away. When he needs another just attach another carto on. If he begins to get involved and interested you could could consider an good add on tank for under $25.00 or a top of the line for $50.00. I'm also suggesting a high end Starter Kit so he's not constantly charging batts- one should last a full day.
Good Luck.

You might want to consider getting used to it by using an ego-T. Then switching him to a map-type tank. Same battery just holds alot more juice. You can buy them or they are very easy to make yourself for less than $2 all you need then is the cartomizer to slide in them. This way its a once a day fill only not several times a day. If you get or make him several you could go a few days without filling.

Thanks everybody !

I am going to buy one in person Sunday morning. So I will take an Ego in my hands and see if I can manage with it. If not, well I will go with the 510 ( with passthrough and PCC)

I might buy the tank for my boyfriend; if I end up refilling it, at least it won't be as often ;-)
and I will go with cartridges ( my supplier seems to have choice between cartridges and tank only) ego or 510

thanks for your support, will definitively come back as soon as I've tried it !
