Do new / freshly cleaned coils require time for full flavor?

Ok, so here's the scoop.... I bought a PT2, filled it with Butterscotch and a nautilus and filled that with N-Port......

The flavor seemed to get better after a day in both, but figured it was just Placebo/that I was coo coo...

Just for the hell of it, I decided I wanted to swap (N-Port in the PT2 and Butterscotch in the nautilus)...
Mainly cause I keep hearing the nautilus should be more flavorful and I'm LOVING the butterscotch.....


I disassembled both, rinsed, soaked in hot water, dried, dry burned, put a fresh coil in the Nautilus (saved the other, still good), reassembled and filled with appropriate liquids.... Started low wattage (6) and worked up a little.... Both are hitting properly, good clouds, etc..... Flavor just seems to be slightly lacking in both.....

Is it just me, or does it take a little bit when a new and/or cleaned coil/wick is used before the full flavor comes through?

If so, how long?

I have really only noticed the flavor getting better after a good nights soak when I'm using cotton. The stock coils just are what they are...pretty much crap. Lol

Wow just reading that was like a roller coaster. If it works for you keep doing it. I usually let them set a few minutes after cleaning.

Yes. I mostly use rdas, and I find that with a new build and fresh cotton it takes me 10-15 minutes of vaping before I really like the flavor.

Looks super easy to put cotton in the PT2, I may try that this weekend..... the Nautilus doesn't look like its happening.... BUT, I'm ordering some of the new BVC's for the nautilus thursday, so if the reviews are accurate, I should be in vape heaven here in less than a week....

It can take a few hits for a freshly cleaned wick to season, just like it does a brand new one.

I find that rayon doesn't take many puffs to get a good flavor - faster than most cotton.
