I bought a Dovpo DT50. It seemed to be a great deal. Large internal battery, similar to an MVP but goes up to 50 watts (only with low builds tho.) Loved the 510 connection, adjusts with a Phillips head screw driver, so simply. It also has this cute little flower on it. I bought it off eBay but from a guy called "Dovpomods" who assured me he is an authorized reseller. I checked into it, he is.

The mod started to have problems. It would shut off & the only way to turn it on was to plug in the charging cable & it would say "hello" & I could vape away. A drag to carry the charging cable everywhere, just in case, but not really that big of a deal.

Then one day, that didn't work & it stopped working altogether.

It it was sold with a 6 month "manufacturer's" warranty. I first tried to contact "Dovpomods" who now has no listings on eBay. Didn't hear back. Contacted Dovpo who said they do not support warranties from "third party vendors." I clarified both:

1) Dovpomods was an authorized reseller

2) and this is the key: dovpo does NOT sell their mods directly on their site. You can ONLY BUY ONE from a "third party vendor."

They did not change their story!!

The point is: THERE IS NO "MANUFACTURER'S" WARRANTY. The buyer has to rely on the vendor to replace the mod, if they will that is.

Do not take this chance. You might end up with an expensive paperweight like the one I have.

Ebay has been pulling alot of ecig stuff and suspending the sellers. Probably why you can't get a hold of them.

Howdy,
I'm sorry that you got stuck with this one, it would seem that I'd stay away from Dopvo from here on out. Most companies should honor the warranties if they are going to offer one, if they aren't then just man up and say they don't. It would seem they are using a work around to keep from having to replace devices but still can say that they do have a warranty on the devices.

Sigelei is a great company and I know that they have risen from ashes but the devices today are rock solid and they will replace a device if defective. I recently dropped my mod from around 4'ish feet and it landed pretty much square on the back, the plate and batteries went in two different directions and I figured my mod was toast. Well its still working without issues thus far and aside from a few scratches shows no visible damage from that encounter. Any mod shouldn't "Rattle" by the way, if your battery holder is that loose then there is a bigger issue besides the noise. Most mods across the market are adjustable 510 connector or even spring loaded as I've seen (floating pin). The magic of "Will adjust the wattage" is something they all do, simply put the board is smart enough to not let you cap beyond a certain wattage if your oHm's won't allow it (its like..magic). Not trying to scratch fun at the T50 but just saying that everything that mod has several others do as well, nothing special there or worth taking a risk again with them. If you can get it replaced then rock on but if not go with someone else manufacture wise.

BTW, love the picture of the Golden retriever, great dogs and have had the pleasure of training several of them.

Could be. When I initially went to leave feedback, I saw the previous person had left a blazing negative about his not replacing a mod that arrived DOA. Could be he ran from that feedback & set up a new account. Maybe I should contact eBay to find out.

Is there a chance he...lied? For me, the only way to confirm if someone is an "official vendor", is through the manufacturer. If Dovpo is calling him a third party vendor, that sounds like he was not actually "official".

I doubt that. They responded with their "it's not our fault" & we could basically care less email BEFORE I gave them the info regarding exactly where I bought it.

On eBay it states he has been removed due to the whole ecig thing. Guess I am SOL.

Manufacturer did nothing wrong.

Even if a legit Dealer, they likely have to handle any warranty. Dealer (a) does not have to warranty dealer(b) sales.
You bought it off Ebay, good chance you bought from a Legit seller that bought from a China Wholesale representative. Still NOT factory authorized. This is a very common practice in the China market.

Did you do a thorough cleaning of the Mods battery contact areas?

Good luck and hope you get it corrected.

Why was it sold to me as having a "manufacturer's warranty" then? You see, if it was sold as warranty through the reseller, I would NOT have bought it on eBay. I am wary of eBay sellers coming & going (been buying from eBay since it began) so the word that sold me the mod was "manufacturer's" not "warranty."

No battery contacts, 4000mah internal lithium battery, works like an MVP. I tried to clean any gunk from the charging able port, as did a guy from my vape shop, but that is the only moving parts area. Just a sealed box. That's why it's so frustrating. Thanks for your advice tho.

Unfortunatly E-Bay does not 'police' a sellers wording in their listing. Even if you are the manufacturer of the item sold, you do not have to issue a refund after 30 days. Just go by the 30 day rule. If you don't request a refund within 30 days you're out of luck. Sometimes contacting the manufacture will work, sometimes not.

I bought a Dovpo e-lvt back in August, I still have it and it works and I would not call it "indestructible" lol. I have only used it one day since Oct though so it has not been seeing any use.

If it was me seeing how you are already apparently in possession of a brick I would crack that walnut open to see if you have a bad contact or a faulty wire. Of course before I did that I would try and contact the vendor through their paypal address to make sure all avenues were closed first.

You are the second person in a short time that I know of that has had difficulty dealing with warranty issues with Dovpo lately.
