Sorry if this has been covered before, I do not do much reading here.
If your rba performance deteriorates, do not reach for a new Kanthal wire. Grab a pair of tweezers and gently pull on your wick. You might pull from both sides to unstuck the wick baked inside your beautiful coil. I have this wick way longer on one side so that I have many repositioning options. Any wicking material will be like new after you slide it into coil and cut off that burnt section. Even ear pleasing cracking sound will come back.
That's pretty much it, any comments?

I have been doing that, kaslik. I use cotton wicks, and once I take the old wick out, I dry burn the coil until it burns red hot, evenly. It really cleans all the gunk off the coil. Then I put another cotton wick in, and done. Works like a charm. I can get a month from a coil even though I might change my wicks every week or so.
