Do Not Use Old Visine Bottles for Juice!!

I found out the hard way,
I liked the size of the small travel size Visine bottles, and I thoroughly washed and boiled it, but low and behold,
IT RUINED ABOUT 5ml OF GOOD QUALITY JUICE8-o
and I had to clean my atomizers twice to get out the nastiest taste you ever tasted...
Kind of sickly perfumy taste!

What kind of taste does it give?

I'm using a visine bottle right now, and as my cartridge begins to even show the slightest sign of getting low on juice, I get a nasty burned taste from my vapor. It tastes like the filter of a cigarette burning. I'm sure most of us have tasted that before, by letting the cig burn down too low.

The thing is, My initial thought was that it's the polyester material beginning to burn. But then I replaced the polyester material in one of my carts, and started using tea bags. I have also tried using coffee filters. And all 3 still give me that nasty burned cig filter taste.

Now I'm wondering if it's due to me using a visine bottle. Again, this taste only happens as the cart starts to run a little low. but not low enough that it needs filled.

Just wondering if that's the same taste you are getting, that way It will help me pin-point the reason for this nasty taste I'm getting.

Why would you use Visine bottles? Tiny plastic bottles are really cheap. Not to mention you can't scrub the inside of the Visine bottle.

Someone's going to be up for a Darwin Award shortly. Sad thing is, it'll probably be blamed on the juice.

Simply because I don't have any plastic bottles yet. They won't get here for another 3 days'ish. And I needed something to hold a small amount of my mixture for work.

As soon as I get my bottles in the mail, I'll be using that. But I'm just trying to figure out what the nasty taste i'm getting comes from.

Well, at least try something else safer. Perhaps a contact lens case and using that?

Buy some Johnson Creek juice and get the cute little plastic bottles free!

I went to the Dollar store and got some SweetBreath bottles.. I think they were $.25 or $.50 cents each? Anyhow, just rinse them out, put a little soap in it, shake it up, rinse again, tip it upside down over night to dry, and it works perfect..

I dont even taste any mintyness.... and I think everyone has the problem where once your cart gets low it starts tasting funny.. mine taste that way even right out of the bottle they shipped in when they get low...

Maybe Im not tasting the same sicklyness though =/

I use the small visine bottles with no problem at all. No after taste at all. I fill them using the syringe that comes with a refill kit for my printer ink cartridges.

I bought 50 bottles, dumped it out, boiled for a bit and let air dry. Works great!

I bought some of those today. i emptied them out and boiled them for about 3 minutes, but they still smell pretty minty. how long should I boil them for?
