Just wanted to stop in and clarify that the 510 personal charging case (PCC) comes with a mini usb female connection at the bottom of the case. I use my amazon kindle usb to ac wall adapter to charge from the wall. My personal opinion is that you can go ahead and order, I'll explain in detail the info you are seeking.
USB (short for universal serial bus) is a connection used between computers and
devices to communicate. For E-Cig applications, these connections are only being used for the ~5 volt power connection that is standard to these. No specific knowledge is needed in the mechanics of these, as no one has yet created a E-cig-Arduino mod yet, although I have contemplated it. All you need is a computer or laptop with a USB Port (the socket the USB cable connects to.) Other then that you don't need to know anything else except it will only charge the
device when there is power going to the USB port (the computer is on or the motherboard supports always on USB.)
As you are on this forum, I'm going to go ahead and assume that you have a USB port, but in case you don't, like I mentioned before you can always use a generic "AC to USB adapter". Walk into any Electronics store/walmart and ask for the item I put in quotes if the inept clerk needs more guidance tell him/her you need to charge a usb
device from a wall outlet, they should set you up.
Good Luck,
-Dee
