Do solar battery chargers work?

I know there was a thread about these awhile ago, but along with not being able to stay logged in to ECF, I can't search posts or threads,
Anyway for some reason I'm concerned about blackouts this Winter, yeah even sunny Cali gets them.
So would love to hear experiences, recommendations, etc about these gizmos.
I don't want to have to sit in my car to vape, TIA!

I have 2 small ones and I can charge 6 XL batts fully on each of them before they need to recharge themselves. (they recharge by sun or usb, internal battery power) One is sensitive enough to run a 510 PT off of it outside even. So, yes, they work


I've also got a charger that runs off 4 AA batteries that charges the v4l batteries with the v4l usb charger hooked in it. It's made by Tekkeon. It works good too.

The AA battery one I got off Amazon. It's the TekCharge mobile power & battery charger Mine is the MP1550. They have other models as well, but this one works great.( and you can also recharge rechargeable "AA" batts with it via usb. when the power comes back on ) One solar I got from Amazon too made by Sunpak. There's different sizes of that one too. The other solar I got from another vendor from the forum here. ( I don't know if I can say dat ) it came with the PT Please don't fire me k ? I got this stuff for hurricane reasons, so I know at least mine DO work. I've tested them often to make sure. I didn't have a lots of money to spend, but I ended up with good results tho

You're so welcome honey. I hope you find something that works. (btw, the 510 PT isn't anything like the v4l one. it's no where's as powerful but it's a vape in the middle of the storm. I got the adapters for the 808 carts for it and that's all that mattered to me so I didn't buy a pack of them nasties ! And I knew I would need it if all my batteries went cold ! ) I also have the power converters for the plugs etc. and adapters for the car but didn't wanna sit out there either

Went camping for 2 weeks with my Sunpak 2800 solar charger. It did a fine job, with the usb charger, keeping my XLs charged up.

Ms. Nancy just think of it as a back up power supply that you don't need to plug into the wall.

Uhmmm... I personally like the AA battery one more cuz it works when da sun don't shine and it uses both regular alkaline AA's or rechargeable ones but I think Santa should bring you BOTH kinds cuz you've been VERY GOOD dis years ! yup
