What kts said. Its the nic strength. Most suppliers offer several different nicotine strengths. Depends on whos talking but I think 12mg is the light, and about 18-24mg is regular full strength. You might even find 6mg cartomizers equal to ultralight.

But everyone is different. Doesn't really matter if you smoked full strength or lights before, you might be comfortable with 12mg, or you might need something a bit stronger, up to 30mg, but thats pretty darn strong. To me.

i smoked newport 100s and started with 16mg juice. i quickly realized it wasn't enough since i still felt i wanted to smoke. right now i'm switching between 18 and 24mg and feel perfectly fine :) there's one guy who says he vapes 36mg which must mean an insane addiction! lmao some have said that they vape something stronger in the morning to get the same feeling and vape a lower level through out the day. the best thing is to pick one and try it for at least a week in my opinion.

I vape all different nic strengths. From 48mg to 8mg. It's all about the enjoyment of the flavors IMO. Once you get the other additives from analogs out of your system, nicotine content matters a great deal less.

For that first month of jumping off the junk, I tend to see a lot more people have success when they use a higher nic. 24 is what I recommended to my friends, regardless of what they smoked. Once they feel that first clean head-buzz, the speculation on whether vaping is some placebo goes away. After that, lower or raise to your preferences. Keep a stronger nic around for the times you want to break down, and a lower nic for times you just want to enjoy the great flavors of the many e-liquids out there.

If you're trying to match a "light" cig it's a matter of nic strength and flavor. Some flavors are really heavy, others not. Nic strength is the easy part, get a few bottles in 12, 18 and 24 mg. Flavor is the hard part. You might try 10 different ones to find a flavor you like. If you want a heavy flavor try 555 or one of the Flue-cured types, if you want a light flavor try USA mix. Also, give some fruity flavors a try, most people like them after they try them. Just order small 10ml bottles or less until you find some that taste good to you. Although I smoked lights I use 24mg because anything less and I chain-vape trying to get my nic-fix. Everyone is different though so 18 or 12 might work for you.
