Do you all think vaping 3 MG out of my lower-vapor producing setups was all placebo effect?

Hey guys,

So, I've been vaping pretty much from when Blu-cigs and the cig-a-likes were still super relevant and the fill your own cartomizers on the cigalikes was so cool. I remember vaping 12 MG at the start of this, but then going down to 6 MG when I started to chain vape a bit.

I remember when I first got my Ego and Protank Mini 3, I would vape 6 MG as well, but the cloud production being way more than I was used to, I cut down to 3 MG. I then started experimenting with 0 MG juice, but found that it wasn't satisfying at all for me, mostly because of the lack of throat hit and I guess this psychological thing where I thought "I don't want to just blow clouds of pointless vapor, I still want a nicotine fix".

So I was vaping 3 MG out of my ego battery and protank for over a year. I vaped kind of heavily I'd say, every hour I would take at least 20 big drags.

So recently I upgraded to two Sub-Ohm setups. I loaded up some 3 MG juice into a subtank with a .5 coil build, took a BIG BOY drag, let out a fat cloud, and immediately felt nicotine overdose sickness. It was the worst feeling ever, I felt completely out of body and sick and horrible.

I've been vaping 0 MG now while still taking giant rips, and I feel like the warmer vapor and as well as the massive vapor production provides a satisfying vape for me. So my question is, does it seem likely that maybe I wasn't even really ingesting very much nicotine at all while vaping the 3 MG out of something that didn't produce much vapor? Maybe this was all placebo effect. I have friends with a nicotine tolerance who sub ohm 3 MG AND 6 MG and say they never get nicotine sickness and it seems like I probably am just now getting a legitimate nicotine intake from vaping.

You always get something out of it.
First it sounds like you can't really tolerate a lot of nic..

Second a sub set up on a well designed atomizer is a lot more efficient at getting nic into the vapor this is why rebuildables are popular.
And add in the fact that not only is the nic vaporized better your now inhaling many times more volume of that nicotine with those huge clouds

If you were vaping 3mg out of an ego you could easily have gone with a 0mg juice at any time. You were probably not getting any more nicotine than you would have from smoking a single cigarette over the course of the entire day, if that much. So yeah, it was pretty much a placebo for you.

Congrats on going to 0 nicotine juice. Why vape it if you don't need it?

Off of a Protank Mini on a plain old Ego battery, 3mg wasn't doing much for you, but you were certainly getting something out of it, depending on your vaping habits. On that setup, the 3mg was probably equivalent to half of what you'd get out of the same amount of smoke from an ultralight cigarette. I agree with Completely Average, though... don't vape the nic if you don't need it/ I only use nic in a homemade Nicotiana Rustica flavor I make that really does benefit from the content, but even then I keep it low.
