i just started dripping this week. i got a 510 bridgeles for my ce4 1100. i blew out the liquid that it was shipped with and ive been using a few drops of vg in between flavors (got it to test new and steeped flavors). before i put the ecig and atty away for the day, should i vape a few drops of vg and leave the residual in the atty or blow it out?

also, how do you know when its time to change out the atty for a new one? ive been using clearomizers for my regular use ecig. i know when they are bad. but the atty im dripping with will get that same burnt taste when its time to add a few more drops of ejuice.

Chiming in a bit late here, but I do not clean out my atty daily. I drip right before bed at night, and the residual stays there until morning. If you can learn to catch it before the "dry hit" when you are vaping, it's better for your atty. A wet atty is a happy one :)

I am also a 510 bridgeless dripper.

I don't consider an atty "bad" until it is dead, or no vape period. If you are noticing a consistent off-taste, or reduced vapor production (and you know it's not a low battery) then it's time to give it a good cleaning. I have never settled on the best cleaning method so I can't say how to clean it. It can be as simple as a hot-water blow-through though.

Hope that's not too late to help you

better late than not at all. eventhough your reply was late it was still the first one. i posted kind of an "update" this post in the gen esmoking forum because i didnt get any replies here. it actually got a few replies but then moved back to this forum anyway. maybe if i add a post to the thread every so often other ppl might notice it too.

thanks for the info.
