each time you mix a new batch? since I can't seem to sleep tonight, and was sitting here, I was wondering if by leaving what little was left in the bottle just emptied, would help seed the new batch?
Ok, now it's time to go try again on the sleep. Thanks. :)

You could pour what you have left in a fresh clean bottle and add to that to seed steep. You need at least like 10% old juice to seed steep.

I've been doing the seed steep thing for the last month or so. It works pretty well for tobaccos and other long-steep juices. I'm just topping off the old batches in the same bottles. As long as you keep contaminants out while the cap is off, I don't see the need to wash the bottle every time you make a new batch. I DO however see the need to use a clean bottle periodically. I just haven't determined how long the "eww" factor takes to show up in my brain. Lol!

I will refill my bottles many time before I wash them out. But new juice goes into a fresh clean bottle. This goes for both glass and plastic. If I empty a bottle and don't plan to refill it, NOW. I will wash it out and store it for future use. Fact is since I usually have few bottles aging at any given time. Most of my juice does get mixed into fresh clean bottles.

I have about 25 regular flavors and lots of glass bottles for mixing/steeping.
(8) 260s, (18) 130s, (10) 60s, too many 30s

I keep the same bottles to the same flavor types if not the exact flavors.
Hawk Sauce bottles are only for Hawk Sauce or mentholated tobacco
Tobacco bottles are only for tobacco.
Other strong flavors don't share. Some delicate flavors don't share.
I rarely make less than 60ml at a time so the 30s don't see much use anymore.

I always rinse and dry them after steeping and transferring the juice to plastic for use.
I keep the cap loose on it's associated bottle for storage after drying.
