For those that steep in amber glass bottles, do you notice a difference in steep time? I have a vanilla custard recipe that is a favorite of mine, as well as a couple of friends/family. I needed larger batches to supply them as well as me, so I bought a couple of 120ml amber glass bottles from Wizard Labs.

My vanilla custard usually gets "right" after about 7-10 days. The color is dark and the smell is spot on. It is delicious. When it's fresh, it is good, but the under tones are too strong. I made a batch in the amber bottle and let it sit. After 8 days when I got some out, it looked fresh to maybe a day old (very light yellow). It still smelled of the undertones, and vaped the same.

So does the amber glass slow the steeping process? If it does, that is not a real bad thing. I just need to plan for it.

I think the color changes you are getting are the exposure to light. The nicotine oxidizes and turns darker when exposed. The amber reduces this effect. The juice still steeps, just doesn't oxidize as much. It is always recommened to steep in a dark place, i.e. drawer, cabinet. No sure of the science behind this and Im not an expert but I have gobbled up alot of information from this site.
