You know, one of those days when NOTHING goes right!

I’m having one.
First I got in the car to go get some water softener salt for the pool---this is so great on the skin. Got home and MY TIRE IS SMOKING. It’s so hot it’s melted the plastic hubcap. :ohmy:Has something to do with a proportion valve or something.

RW comes in with that great news :grr:as I’m starting the washer. It’s making a familiar funny noise: Yes, there is yet ANOTHER QUARTER in the water pump.:grr:
What can I say: my son was here this weekend and he did some laundry. We had the service man in the first time this happened, but, hey we now know what to do, so the two of us manage to get that taken care of.

Poor RW was having one of his better days but is totally NOT now. He took a painkiller and laid down about 3:00 and I probably won’t see him until about six.

I’m trying to be quiet so he can rest and now my e-cigs are acting up. I’ve never had this problem. I’ve done this and done that to no avail. The only bright spot in this is that out of five mods, one is working.
On top of everything, it’s stormed all day and my dog is fit-to-be-tied.

Your son sounds like my son. He leaves change all over the place. At least my son-in-law puts it in an old coffee can.

I’m finding out that a front loader washer is a whole different animal. Change and other small objects get into the rubber around the drum and can work itself to the edge or rim or whatever they call it, and then (if small enough) can actually go through the pump. Evidently quarters are too big---they get stuck.:(

My night at least turned out better. Threw all the attys I was using in some vodka and put fresh ones on, then let them sit for an hour and went back to them and all is working.:)
It finally quit storming and it cleared up and I got into the pool for the first time this seasons.:)

I have a front loader - the LG had a compartment on the bottom (where they used to be located in laundromats - near the floor) where "stuff' that would clog the machine or drain hose would go - my new Maytag - it's the rubber ring (I was surprised it didn't have the compartment near the floor) and am always finding little girl socks under that gasket.

I think little girl socks are possessed. I keep buying my 6 yr old socks, but she never has any when I look for them in the morning to get her dressed, and I find them all over the house, except there are never matches for the pretty colored ones. I think they wander until they find a door open and dart out to escape :).

Okay, didn't want to start another thread for this so here goes.
RW, my son, and the neighbor guy, are out working on a deck for the pool. This is a project that got started a couple months ago---maybe, if I'm lucky they'll get it done before Fall ends and the first snow. One can only hope.

So they been out there for a couple hours and I go peek out a window in hopes of seeing some progress.
IT LOOKS THE SAME!!!8-o

At this rate, I better hope it's done before next winter!!!

I'll post my week just to make you feel better about the day you had.

1: Fixed husbands car, car broke again
2: Dishwasher went out, needs a thermal fuse now waiting on it.
3: My son deleted important files off my computer and now its a lovely space holder with blue lights. (Using my husbands)
4: Hit my wrist and now have a ugly knot on the side of it that hurts if I move it in a certain way.
5: Toilet intake valve/hose that puts water in the tank of the toilet screwed all up and flooded the house. YAY!!! So much fun to clean up.

All this in the past two day, tomorrows gotta be better :)!

lol

Today was a whopper. I lost my brakes when my full-sized van's rear brake line rusted through. The good news is, i got home ok, no accidents! whew! The bad news..... I am homebound till the $ magically appears to get it fixed.
Went to court this pm for my son. It was a madhouse. It was standing room only for over 2 hours. Tons of people crowding, talking moving, packed in like sardines, I can't breathe. WAited until I got home to finish freaking out. First anxiety attack I have had in I don't know when. I couldn't just leave the situation either, like I would normally. It was nuts. It's 5 hours later now, and I am just now calming down enough not to shake. I have no Rx meds for it, so I had to take OTC herbals. What I would have given to have a valium instead of valerian. lol Glad it's over. I may not get too far from my bed tomorrow. There is only so much 'mess' I can take in one day. I pegged out and then some today..... surely tomorrow will be better!

That's what happened to RW's brake line about a week and a half ago. With luck, the darn thing will be on the road this weekend. So will my car with the front end problems. Hope that is the end or car problems are going to bankrupt me!!!
Sorry it happened to you, and real glad you made it home.

How did the actual court proceedings go?

And, please, go outside at least once today---especially if it's nice.:)

Well it certainly turned into another one of those days.
I'm even feeling a bit jinxed!!!
RW is better: That is he is in less pain but the meds are making it difficult for him to concentrate so he thinks it's him. Had to take him to see the shrink today.
If you don't know, my car came down with some front end problems. Then when I got into RW's car a break line busted so I had to borrow a car.
A friend loaned me hers. True it is ten years old but runs good. But guess what, while I'm driving it, I rolled down the back window by mistake. NOW THE DARN THING WON'T GO BACK UP.
I swear, if you want to know if there is something about ready to break in your car, let me drive it, because IT WILL BREAK.

lol, that's the 3rd car to break though? maybe the bad CAR-MA is over for a while then? lol
The actual court proceeding was a joke. We shouldn't have had to go at all. They were getting kids mentors, which my kid can't do because of his issues. So we went there, told the judge that, and then we went home. After hours & hours of mess. Por Nada. Agggghhhh!

That's what I'm hoping because at this point I'm a bit scared to get into a car. Just kidding, sort of.

Son was here last night w/friends and worked on our two. This weekend both should be back on the road. After two weeks, I'm so ready for that.

I'm just so freakin excited. MY CAR IS DONE.
Some time the first of the week I have to get it in to be aligned.

Before the night is over, RW's will be done too.
The bad news, it cost about $300 to get them both done. So much for ordering e-cig stuff this month because I got to pay back savings.

Good thing I really don't need anything.:)

Well @ seven I start the trip to a town about 15 miles from here because there is no place to have it aligned in town.
Going early to get my pool time in, and then dropping it off about ten and a friend will pick me up.
The interesting thing is that it's so out of align I have to drive about 25 miles an hour with flashers going.
I hope nobody runs me over.
