Question for all my social drinkers.

Do you have a certain go to flavor when you have a drink?

Only reason I ask is when I drink (which at most is 4 nights out of a month if that) my regular all day vape simply does not get the job done, due to the fact that when I drink I can not taste nothing from my regular vape.

Recently I purchased a gourmet type non menthol flavor that has a sweet caramel, exotic espresso taste, and I do not care for it by itself (thought I wasted my money) however this past weekend when I had a drink I decided to give that flavor another try and I guess the liquor cut the taste down enough because I could just taste enough of it, and it made it enjoyable.

Now I should also mention that I have only been vaping for about 23 days. My all day vape is a Menthol flavor , and I did read this from the following post

"V6. 'Menthol Mouth'
It is reported that the use of large amounts of menthol-containing e-liquids can result in the deadening of taste for a period, with the result that all refills become tasteless for a while or until menthol use is reduced or ceased. Cinnamon is also implicated.

Menthol may or may not be the cause since many report that all eliquids lose their flavor for a period. Another factor is the change in taste perception, mainly a loss of taste, caused by smoking, together with its return after tobacco cessation, and a possible period when taste goes dead for a time during the first few months off cigarettes even for those who have not used menthol. "

Now I will also add that for the past few days it does seem like my Menthol flavor carts lose there taste after about the first 3 or 4 drags on a fresh cart. Could that be Menthol Mouth? or something else.

I dont drink but maybe once a year but I can comment on the loss of flavor thing. I have tried literally hundreds of liquids, maybe 1 out of 100 I would absolutely fall in love with but after a while of using it all the time, I could no longer taste those wonderful notes that I tasted when I first started using it, it is really a bummer. So, in order to deal with this, I usually rotate my top 5 to ten flavors throughout the week and that helps a ton. I wish I had a better pallet but we work with what we got. In reference to your final statement about your carts losing there flavor after a few drags, I think that might be more to do with having a full cart that is wicking better because it is completely full but part of it may be menthol mouth. What setup are you using? Are you using an atomizer with a cartridge or a cartomizer? If you are using an atty with a cart, I might suggest that you give dripping a try since that produces a much stronger flavor. Good luck.

Question for all my social drinkers.

Do you have a certain go to flavor when you have a drink?.

When im going out for a drink, i get stronger, tobacco flavors, and sometimes even a higher nicotine juice, like 24mg instead of my usual 18mg.
Plus, when i drink i vape a LOT, and i do mean --- A LOT --- more than i usually do. I mean virtually non stop. :vapor:

Its a good thing i dont drink too often (3 maybe 4 nights a month), otherwise i would go thru a gallon of juice per month! hehe

Granted I've only been vaping for about a week, but my go to flavors are usually tobacco based for enjoying with adult beverages. I'm becoming a very big fan of BCB's juices, particularly the Casablanca or the Honey Flue Cured. Interestingly enough, I do the opposite of Benzin - I tend to vape a lot more when I drink, so I cut down on the nicotine, dropping from 18mg to 12mg.

I don't know yet. I'm a homebrewer and am searching for something to vape with beer. I'm hoping a dark chocolate I have coming is a good chocolate, if so that would work with porters and stouts.

Right now I'm having a melon mix with a Roggenbier that isn't bad. Surprisingly orange with a wheat beer is not good at all. Menthol is another bad one with beer.
I imagine the orange or melon wouldn't be bad with sipping tequila.

If you could find a realistic tobacco flavor that should go with any alcoholic beverage.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. Currently I'm using an atty with a cart. In the near future I plan on dripping a try to get that stronger flavor.

I'm going to have to get me a few more flavors that I really like so I can alternate between them, and I 100% agree there was nothing like my first few days of vaping - the taste , the flavor was very potent.

Thanks for responding, yeah I was kind of thinking that certain vapes would taste better with certain drinks, kind of like how different fruits, chocolate, cheese goes with various beers bringing out that taste.

Thanks for the input, I totally understand the good thing about not drinking too often, when I smoked analogs I would chain smoke the whole time I was drinking.

You enlightened me to the fact that I should have lower strengths on hand when I do drink to compensate for the extra vapor intake.
