Every night before we go to bed we take the battery out of our Rios. Just wondering if we are the only ones? LOL!!!

Before I go to bed, I top off the juice bottles, put the batteries in the charger, and put fresh batteries in the REO's so they're ready to rock and roll in the morning.

Funny, but my Reo Grand is my only pv that I don't remove the battery every night or untwist the atty. It's always ready to go and I never fret about it going bonkers on it's own accord. I always untwist the carto on my eGo, remove the carto from my Volt, untwist the carto or tank from my SB..... but never ever even thought about it with my trusty Reo.

Never ever let a REO sit with no battery ..... they get sad

Mine are only without power for the 5 seconds it takes to put a fresh battery right back in.

Just out of curiosity what are you afraid might happen ?? Do you have cats ??

Yes, please take it out when it needs recharged. If you let it run down all the way it is not good. So pay attention and pull it out before it is depleted!

Ya'll are just too funny!! No we don't have cats. Just two dogs, three parakeets, and two cockatiels. I guess we get it from the eGo. We both had them before and would take them apart at night.

Since the current design of Reo Minis and Grands have a mechanical firing pin, the battery is disconnected when the device is not in use (firing button not depressed). They are not like vampire appliances, TV's, Radios, remote operated ceiling fans, etc that use small amounts of electricity when not in use. Will the new VV's use any electricity if the on-off switch is in the on position?
