Do you prefer dripping, or clearos/tanks?

The AGA-t+ or 2 can be used with silica wicks. That's what the extra post and screwholes are for.

Oh heck yeah! Thank you for telling me this! I looked it up and sure enough people are using rope style wicks with their aga t2 systems with good enough success for me to get one. Buying that thing now!

Still searching myself for consistency.

Started this 2 months ago. Bought 5 protanks to switch out flavors. It never fails that at some point I get very nasty flavor. So I bought a cheap 510 atty to see if it was my juice but the taste waste good through the 520 atty. It has given me several sore throats. I actually think it's coming from the brand new atty's I put in them. Either the primer, the silica wick or a chemical residue that came off them from being new. I talked to the guy at the local B&M about it and He said, yeah, you just have to vape a tank of it and then the next one will be better. I'm sorry but that just flat out sucks folks. And this should be seriously looked at from someone in the industry for the safety of it's general users.

I think the safest thing anyone should do for themselves is no matter what tank or atty you buy. Please do yourself a favor and boil, then rinse your new supplies. Sucks but at least it makes sure there are no unwanted chemicals.

So, it is hit and miss with the protank. I own 5. All of them have leaked. I constantly have to carry a napkin w/ me to clear out the screw terminal and to blow it out when it floods. But I since have learned to carry a few que-tips w/ me. Makes life easier. When the tank gets low and you need to refill, as soon as you unscrew the bottom juice will leak through the mouth hole. Has to do with the release of pressure I believe. So do yourself a favor and stick a que-tip in the mouth piece and you can keep it clean with no leaking, then refill and be happy.

Although, I do like the protanks but so far, hasn't been consistent. I can handle leakage and the que-tip thing but I refuse to settle for the chemical taste every time I switch an atty in it. Whether it be new silica, chemical residue...whatever. It's just pissing me OFF.

I will also say they do however work really well an a provari mini. As they can tighten all the way on them, allowing to use the air slots designed into them. People say they are really airy. Well, yes depending on which mod they are being used with. They work better on my provari mini than they do on my zmax. Because the 510 connection on a zmax is taller than the base around it.

I bought those cheap 510 atty's to compare but what I didn't expect was the satisfying, smooth hits they were producing. But the dry hits sucked major ....

On a whim, I bought a z atty pro today. Really airy for the way I like to draw. But I will continue to tinker with it a bit.

So far, I'm sticking with dripping these cheap 510 atty's at the house and will continue to use the protanks after I've boiled any new atty's. Will try different wicking material to see if it helps and build them myself possibly.

But these damn little cheap 510 atty's and dripping them with a free rubber tip have changed my vaping experience.

you throw away a brand new clearo "because the flavor sucked"? how about cleaning them and/or putting in a new coil? simple ,easy, and a lot cheaper than tossing away. it seems instead of juice you are vaping $!!

Good way to put it. I've tried cleaning clearos, but they always still smell and taste like the previous flavor. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong. The clearos I use to test flavors are the CE4 (not rebuildable like the CE5), and I always get them for $3.95, or $2.95 if they're on sale. I haven't found a way to clean out the interior of the CE4, even after soaking them for days. If you know of a better way, I'm all ears. I have several set aside that I want to clean, but just haven't found a good way to do it. Any suggestions? The only part that comes off is the tip. Thanks! :D

........ Just can't find any good flavors from any good dealers yet to get off or just have others juice flavors. Nothing I've tried is good like the menthol. So far all the flavors I've tried from local vape shops have weak flavors and they get angry when I say I can't taste it, haha!

Try VapeDudes.com - I have tried SEVERAL of their flavors, and they are all spot on! Their Naturals line seems to be a bit iffy, but after steeping for a couple of weeks, I've had better success. Any of their other flavors, I've been able to vape them the day I get them in the mail. :) Good luck! :D

The HH. 357 beats everything else I’ve tried by a lot. I’m not at all fond of the process of manual dripping so I’m using AMP Tanks. I love the convenience of having performance identical to manual dripping with the convenience of a tank.

I’ve used cartos, clearos (top coils, bottom coils, dual coils), carto tanks, RBAs and RDAs. I don’t much use or care about any of them since I’ve started using my AMP Tanks.

I think it's well worthpend the extra pennies for a CE5 or any other rebuildable. Not to rebuild (tho it seems like the next logical step) but just to be able to pull out your core and soak that puppy in some PGA or cheap vodka, wash out the housing, drop a fresh core in and enjoy your next flavor!

And regarding the original post, I like Evods and Protanks when I'm out and about or don't want to fiddle with anything and I like my new Cheapie dripper when I'm experimenting with flavor mixes, checking if something needs to steep more, or just don't want a whole tank of a flavor.

Dripping is by far the best between dripping and clearos. I've been too cheap to try an HH. I mostly use a 306. I've tried clearos to use while driving. They use a lot more juice and mute flavor.

Then, I finally tried carto-tanks. They're making me lazy! Not quite as good as dripping. But, much more practical for driving!

Dripping on an ERA knock off. Love it.

With clearos, I tend to go through juice very fast. There are days in which I do nothing but vape for hours on end. Not chain vaping, but about four 5 second hits every minute or so is my pace. I love the part where I drip. To me, that pause is like taping the ashes off the cigarette. It feels unnatural to just take hit after hit after hit.

I'm pretty fond of clearomizers, never tried dripping, and never owned a tank... I'm still pretty new to ecigs tho.

I'm in the same boat, but I have some Vivi Novas on the way. When my VAMO gets here, I might look into dripping with a RBA.

You should really like the Vivi Novas. They're quick and easy to fill, and extremely easy to clean for swapping flavors, or for replacing the heads. Plus, the vapor and flavor are really good, too! :D The wide variety of colors allows you to color-coordinate your flavors, and there's even an orange tank available at select vendors. I'll be ordering that one soon myself. LOL! (AND I use a Vamo, so I speak from experience! ;) LOL!)

Thanks for the suggestion! I will have to get a couple, specifically for this reason! :D

I started off dripping. Always told myself "I need nothing more, and cartomizers are something I'll never like." Then one day I bought a Boge F-16 tank at my local B&M store, just for the hell of it, and never looked back. I was absolutely stunned at how well it performed. Soon after that I was buying bulk cartomizers and a nice standard Phiniac tank, and nothing could be better for me. I still use atomizers for taste testing or just sitting around, but I fell in love with cartomizers.

get a vision vivi nova and/or a mini vivi nova . take them apart and rinse the pieces under hot water. dry and put back together. I have never had a residual taste and the new flavor always tastes fine. the vision version works better than the smoktech or generic because the wicks are better and they just produce better vapor. never had a leak or any problem with any of them.

I used to drip and the biggest thing that would get me is I would always end up with the juice being spit back into my mouth. Then I tried a Vivi clearo and it was much much better vape wise, but the flavor was lacking a bit. Then I tried a Tabac BCC and personally for me this is the best one Ive tried to date. No spit back great flavor and hasnt leaked (yet).

Dripping with 306 Cisco atty. I've tried tanks and cartos, and they are great, but just not the same warmth and consistent flavor as dripping. Plus I like to keep my PV in a pocket, and a tank is just a little too big when added to the size of my PV.

I haven't been on the forum in a long time (until a few days ago). I started vaping about 3 years ago, and to just be getting back on the forum is kind of a trip. There are so many new devices, and all this new jargon that I'm unfamiliar with, it's almost like starting over. Are 306 attys still the king? Does Cisco still make the best ones? If there is something better let me know guys because I have a new mod in the mail, and interested to see what all I've missed out on.
