I can't believe I miss this thread two months ago ! Well I swallow, I don't like the taste but it's cleaner, faster, no need for a kleenex and it's only in very small quantities.

So every girls who said spit in the past 2 months, have you at least tried to swallow, it ain't such a big deal you'll see, you might even like it, most of them do (c'mon guys, ya need to educate 'em better) :D

I don't think its toxic...there's no difference if you are vaporizing the liquid and inhaling it or swallowing it, do you know what I mean? Even the vapor form is still tiny droplets of liquid :)

For PG and VG I would imagine, since it's used in foods we eat etc, that you could drink cupfulls and be ok. Can someone correct me if I am wrong?

Thanks!!

Edit: hmm...anyone else noticed that most of the ladies who answered this thread said spit? ;)

I ALWAYS swallow, Sweetie... kisses.gif

Oh wait, you were talking about the e-liquid... Whenever I get some on my tongue or lips, I usually just wipe it off daintily with a napkin and continue vaping. And I have a bad habit of licking my fingers when I get some juice on them, too...

But whether we are smoking or vaping... it's ALL just a form of oral gratification anyway, isn't it?? :vapor:

If you drink a 10ml bottle, you'll probably get nauseous. other than that you'll be fine. Nicotine is only poisonous if you get a large quantity into your bloodstream at the same time, like by injection.

Most of what you swallow won't even be absorbed by your body, and what does, will be absorbed way too slowly to harm you. If you swallow 10 mg of nicotine, probably 2/3 of that will either get destroyed in your stomach or pass through unmetabolized. of the, lets say 3mg, you actually take in, by the time the 3rd mg is absorbed, the first 2 are already out of your system.
Most public tap water in the US is treated with sodium hypochlorite(Clorox bleach) Flouride(toxic at high levels) and a little ammonia(poisonous, but a drop or 2 kills the smell of the bleach they put in)among other things, but at the levels in the water they are a benefit. A little ejuice won't hurt you. When it gets in my mouth I just wash it down with my coffee and move on!!

That's why you aren't supposed to cut e-liquid with tap water.. Chlorine and Flouride... Flouride is a waste product industry had to find a way to get rid of. Oh, hey ... Let's put it into the water supply, yay!!!

I don't think I'd drink a 10ml bottle of e-juice. A couple of drops of pure nicotine will kill you if ingested.
If one would drink a 10ml bottle of 24mg.. that would be 240mg, right?
Because "24mg" means that it's "24mg per ml"
Am I right about this?

Isn't that about four drops of pure nicotine in the average a 10ml 24mg bottle?

FREEDOM!! Vote them all out of office on NOV. 2. Return to the constitution, sanity with spending, and self responsibility.

No electioneering here, PLEASE. If I want to be told who to vote for, I'll just log off the laptop and answer the 10 calls a day I get from political campaigns!!!

Besides, I think sanity and responsibility have been amended OUT of the constitution!!!

I wouldn't drink a 3ml on purpose!! LOL
I would like to find out how many drops = 1 ml of liquid, but yes 24 per ml would be 240 mg nicotine per 10ml.

I just looked it up and 25 drops of water is about 1ml so that would be about 1mg nic per drop for a 24 strength (if the drop number is right) This is very interesting, so I'm going to try to find out more about lethal doses of nicotine from ingestion out of curiosity. As I said earlier, nicotine is metabolised rapidly, so any lethal dose would require almost instantaneous absorption, not only ingestion, of the whole dose at once. That doesn't happen orally, so you would need massive overdose to get to that lethal level.

milliliter to drops - Wolfram|Alpha
What are metric drops supposed to be?
There's a something called metric drops?
I had no idea.

Nicotine can be absorbed into your body through your outer skin!! You can coat someones steering wheel with it and really mess them up, if not kill them. I wouldn't imagine it'd have a problem being absorbed if actually ingested!!

It gets absorbed very easily through the skin. The lethal dose is .5 to 1mg per KG of body weight so a 190 lb man would need to absorb 45 to 90mg of nicotine.

I'm not saying it doesn't get ingested easily, just that it has to get separated from the other eliquid ingredients and survive saliva and stomach acids to be absorbed, so that slows things down so you would need to take a lot to harm you (like 100drops of 24mg liquid to kill you). What we take in by accident from the cartridge is what... 2 or 3 drops, maybe? Pure nicotine is a different story and I'm sure a swig of that would kill you quick!
