Do you stink?

One thing I love about vaping is that there's no bad smell. Since you gave up, have you noticed the smell of cig smokers? I am embarrassed now when I meet a smoker, when I think I used to smell like that. My wife was always going on about it,she's a non-smoker. So do you feel cleaner? Dazzer.
I'm eager to add a picture to my post-this is it-fingers crossed.

When I first started vaping, I was in a car with a friend at a stop light in the sun and smelled cigarette stench. I immediately thought it was from the t-shirt I was wearing that maybe hadn't been washed.... it was from the smoker in the car behind us at the stop light!!
I've since noticed how far away I can smell it from people. If they only knew.

You know, it's weird. I notice when someone has had a smoke, mostly my brother, they reek when they come inside after. My girlfriend however says she notices that smell on everyone who smokes but says I actually never carried that odor with me. I dunno. Maybe I was special.
But yeah... they stink to high hell afterwards.
I still like the smell of the actual smoke though. It's still kinda hard to be around because the smell is still so tempting. But turns out I like the smell of my new Peanut Butter Cup juice better.

Some time into my second week of vaping - even while I was still smoking a few butts per day - it suddenly hit me: The stench of stale cigarette smoke in my jackets, hats, man purse - and I couldn't stand it. I went on a washing binge and had to clean all that stuff as soon as I could. I couldn't stand the smell of wearing that stuff and smelling it any more.

The only smoking area inside my house is the bathroom. I didn't really notice any smell when I used to smoke. My wife still smokes and now I can't stand the smell of my own bathroom. It's not only the bathroom but the towels smell too and I'm not comfortable using them but my wife keeps arguing that it never bothered me before so why is it bothering me now? I wish there was a way for smokers to actually smell the stench of smoke so they will understand and later on be more considerate.

You know, a friend of mine's daughters would tell him to quit smoking inside because it made their clothes stink! I've got my girl down to 4 or 5 a day (from a pack a day), and whenever I have to drive our car somewhere, I have to leave the door open for a minute to air it out. Then I have to actually get in and the first thing I do is empty the ashtray!

I do not suffer the social trauma of stressing over cigarette smell. Actually I don't even notice it and I have been smoke free for over 2yrs. The amazingly powerful stench of Cologne, Perfume, air sprays and some humans Body odor Gags me.

I was at the VA yesterday morning. Took a vape break, and went to a smoking hut. The place was stinky, but I accept it because it is good PR. A lot of people who work on that unit also smoke.

During the first week post-cigs, I brought all of my coats and other wool and down items to the dry-cleaners for de-stinkification. I washed ALL of my clothing, bedding and took my two dogs to the groomer for a bath. I washed everything in the mansion; windows, mirrors, walls, baseboards, floors, and every other washable surface. I shampooed the few carpets I have and then purchased 3 Ionic Breeze air purifiers. I brought both cars to be *detailed.* Obsessive? Maybe, however, it's a grand obsession. I've been smoke-free for just 10 weeks and can detect smoke-stench at a great distance, so close encounters with smokers are rough.

In a heartbeat. I live out in the desert and it was really dark that night that I was walking the dog. I smelled cigarette smoke and a good 3 minutes later a person came along. That was early on and it surprised me.

I can taste, smell, have more windage and don't stink. I am grateful.

A guy i worked with stank of it, worse than anyone i ever smelled. His hands were greasy with it. You knew where he was because the phone receiver would reek, or the keyboard terminal. The next worst is the people who huff up there cig before they walk in, put out the cherry, and hold a half smoked cig in their hand while im dealing with them, makes me want to vomit.
I actually did throw up once when a customer that came in had the worst halitosis in history, the odor of rotted flesh being hurled at me when he spoke was overwhelming. Its amazing to me how many people in this area have no idea what a toothbrush is.

i gotta say, my wife and daughter complained all the time to me about how I made the house stink from my ecigs and it wasn't a good smell, I also got complaints about my car smelling but me personally I never smelled like vapor except for one ejuice which I don't really vape anymore

I did notice my car windows are getting extremely dirty and I'm pretty sure its from the amount of vapor coming from my mech mods since I sub ohm

I keep reading on this forum about how they get compliments about their ejuice fragrance but not me...

Even when I was a smoker. I smelled like roses. That is only my opinion of course, and my wife's.

I actually liked the smell of cigarettes on my clothes, and my gf did, too. Now I smell mostly of caramel, which she has grown to also love. Now I think most smokers smell awful, but if someone smokes Camels, I still think they smell pretty good, lol. Probably just years of conditioning to that particular smell.

I never smelled the cigs on me but now that I quit I can smell it a mile away from smokers and it makes me sick

cigar smell is actually a good smell to me but depends on the cigar, and yeah I hate those people too who over exaggerate, did you blow smoke in their faces like I did?

I must be the odd man out as I rarely notice the smell of others cigarettes and never the smell on their person. And I quit over a year ago. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.

I don't stink of cigarettes anymore.. I am my car do still smell of tobacco. It more a fresh tobacco smell like you get at a cigar/pipe tobacco shop in the humidor rather than the ashtray.
