Hi ya'll! Noobie here. I just started vaping last Wednesday. Haven't had a cig since! I got my set up at a local-ish place. An eGo Twist with a stardust cart and some juice to try (they make their own). I have 2 old 510s with the little 510 batteries from 3 years ago when there was little choice in flavors. I'm still using those too, some juice just tastes better.

I do like buying local from small businesses when I can, but of course being a noob I've been looking all over the net for different flavors (and buying them) and different cartos/clearos (OK, buying them too lol). Do you have a local or do you shop mainly from the internet? Are you finding better internet sales and prices?

I shop the local stores for things like drip tips and small parts, but I rarely buy juice from them--most of my favorite e-liquids are from companies that only do mail order. And for batteries and mods, I sometimes go online, and sometimes buy locally. Depends on what I'm looking for, prices, and availability.

But I'm with you--I like to support my local vape shops when I can.

While most will tell you they find better prices online, you also have shipping then. Which can quickly eat into those savings. However many people are in the same boat I am and do not have a local B&M. I wish we did have, even with slightly higher prices it would be nice when I was first starting to be able to see and hold different pvs.

The nearest one tome in either direction is a good hour and change away, so I've never been to one. I did order from one of the stores in Baltimore though, and the $5.00 in shipping I had to pay was cheaper than the gas to get there. I'll probably buy some juice from them once a month just to send a little money their way.

There are a few smoke shops near by that advertise e- cigs. The selection at the two stores I went to was not good. The knowledge of the employees in regard to e-cigs was even worse. I wish there was a vape store/lounge in jersey. I would love to be able to pick up some supplies in a pinch. As for juice, there are so many really good companies all over the country, I will always buy online.

not really one is an online seller who only offers pickup but usually doesnt have what im looking for these days , and the other two are ego/kgo based starter gigs with 6-8 dollar 10 ml juice.

wish i had the front for a more advanced place i would offer to buy/trade/sell mods and APV's, rba's and stuff.

I support the closest local place to me, The Vapor Spot which has the only e-juice bar that I've seen around where you can sample any type of e-juice they have which is quite a selection of Rawr, Pink Spot, High-Brow and tons more. (I have no affiliation with them at all whatsoever). The guys in there are great and are very helpful to new comers. I had been vaping for a while before I found them but I usually go in to try new flavors.

I buy most of my hardware online as it's typically cheaper but I do like to try new tanks/cartos there as quality seems to be a big issue when buying online, you never know what you are getting in some cases.

The smoke shops where I live are all tobacco related products or head shops [?] I think they are called. Blackened windows and nervous employees when granny walked in wearing a suit after work [me :p] I did find a local lady who sells from her home, I think she is a Joytech authorized dealer or whatever it is called.

But I did find a list, google VaporSearchUSA - lists all of the vape stores in the USA =]

Sounds like a good opportunity for someone to open a shop in MO. But then again, when I lived in KS we'd go across the bridge to buy cheaper cigs in Missouri.

They have some like in St Louis, but I am not going to drive for 3 hours each way just to look at vape stuff.

I guess it's much like any other specialty product. If you have one close by, great (if their prices are comparable) but online shopping is also great. The place by me is about 30 miles away in Longs, SC called iVape. They have a .net too, which is why I probably found them in my search. I was surprised that there weren't any closer to Myrtle Beach. Not that I've found anyway. They were nice guys and the customers in the shop were really helpful too. :) (no affiliation at all)

I've gotten some juice from the vape shop I've found...it's about 30 mins away which isn't too bad. It's an awesome lil B&M. I can't say that I'll really but any batteries or MODS there as they tend to be a lil pricey when I can find much better prices online...even when you add in shipping. I will go and get more of their juice and maybe tanks & other small supplies but otherwise it's my 'in case of emergency' for all the major stuff.

I been to local shop, got MadVapes around the corner. I feel when I located this place 2 days ago and realized it was 20 minutes away from my house it helped my overwhelmed feeling alot seeing everything and holding everything. I have been there twice now. There hardware is a little overpriced but minus shipping and wait time and I think it's worth it. They have tons of liquids but sadly I haven't found one I like yet. It did help my wife get on board with vaping though as she looked like a kid in a candy store picking out her e-juices there.
